Seems like the refs have a vendetta against the Raptors. 41 to 14 in FT attempts, that's not even close. They called 28 fouls against the Raps, 16 against the Jazz - you don't have to be a Raps fan to see that there's something wrong here.

This isn’t anything new. This happens quite frequently with the Raps. It’s so frustrating as a fan cuz our guys played good yesterday. That game should have been ours. It always seems to happen with 5 min left it’s like the refs purposely just call fouls so the other team can catch up. I’m so beyond sick of how the Raps are treated in this league. 😡

The most blatant version of this was when we made the conference finals against Cleveland in 2016. And don’t get me wrong, Cleveland deserved to win that series. But DeRozan was literally going up with one arm because a Cleveland defender was literally holding onto the other arm. We never get the benefit of the doubt from refs. Also, years ago when Terence Ross hit a buzzer beater, they not only disallowed it, but just ended the game because supposedly “the clock started late.” So not even a do over. A guy literally hits a buzzer beating shot and we then lose the game because supposedly he wasn’t “supposed” to beat the buzzer. Honestly as a Canadian I never wanna blame refs because we got enough complaints already and don’t wanna look too whiny but the clear as day lack of respect the Raptors get with calls is too obvious to ignore.

Agreed 100% The raptors have been my 2nd fav team for a long time now. The only reason, the refs!!! This has been the case for sooo long, but its not evey game (mostly div. Rivals). Now when there is a fta gap its always somewhere between double and almost triple. the only exception was the year they rented the claw and won a championship. Last year wasn't too bad either. Ei: 30-13 vs phi 26-12 vs mil 29-14 vs bkn 33-14 vs phi 40-17 vs bos etc. Etc. And 10-9 vs mia which should had a huge gap Tor. Favor but missed about 35-40 calls between two teams. I turned that game twice.

Good analysis Ray... I am not a college kid so I can say something stinks here.. if I were the FBI or RCMP I would be taking a hard look at the action in Vegas something is not right this season. If I were a member of the NBAPA I'd be raising a stink just on the basis of sportsmanship this kind of call disparity even though it benefits the opponents is not fair and taints every victory.

Question: when was the last time the Raps had more free throws than the other team? I can't remember thr last time that happened. In some playoff games, I remember the Raps got their first foul call with less than 6 minutes left in the 4th. It's getting a bit ridiculous. The bias against the Raps is getting as obvious as Trump's bias against Mexicans.

I don’t see where you say other teams games didn’t get postponed, they did postponed as long as they had 8 players to play they went ahead with the game, Miami and Celtics has games has few postponed when Tatum was out, Miami as well when Butler was out

It’s been going on like that since God knows when. This is another validation that NBA doesn’t want the Raptors to be in the playoffs much more in the finals or win another chip. Your comparison about cancellation/postponement of the games due to covid protocol is just another unfair treatment by the NBA to the Raptors. We saw that too.

The problem with free throws is the US don’t see us as having any all stars which makes it difficult to win against a Lebron Cavs team with Kyrie, a 2021 team with HOFers, a rockets team with Harden and Westbrook etc. This has been happening since Bosh, it applies for a lot of teams like Detroit, Atlanta etc, how are these teams suppose to win without superstar calls which stacked teams get on a regular? NBA needs to give superstar calls to the three top players on each team no matter how league wide popular they are... otherwise the nba will never be balanced and stars will continue to leave for ring chasing squads

As a raps fan this has been happening forever, n all across the nba it’s always been a star driven league fantom calls on star players.

It's honestly an embarrassment to the league with how these officials come in, do a terrible job and suffer no repercussions. I understand the raptors lost something defensively at the center position but for the refs to act like they are undisciplined defensively as if they're the fuckin knicks or wizards is just disgusting. These guys have been to the finals thanks most in part to their defensive acumen. Why are they so often not getting the benefit of the doubt? The core are in their primes if not entering them and are playing their best basketball atleast offensively speaking. The nba does not want this team to be in the playoffs because how would it feel for an 8th seeded raptors squad (that really is a top 4 caliber team) to upset their darlings. They forced them to play with a g league team for several games and now that they're fully healthy they're being dealt losses because the refs can't seem to do their damn job. Siakam had a terrific performance for his second game back and that's overshadowed by the ref shenanigans. Sure you can point to rebounding being an issue but please tell me something new? We know that's always been their weak point but its never stopped them from being top 3 in the east in years past. Nba better not let this team be in the playoffs bro. I'd love to see them upset the sixers in the first round.

Just thinking out loud but the TRaptors won the NBA in finals win 2019. This upset the NBA as a whole. it also cost/caused NBA's lowest ratings, (for the finals) lost revenue etc The NBA will not allow this to ever happen again. It's a multi billion dollar business. The NBA and it's officials have a double standard with the Toronto Raptors (hence the poor officiating in mutliple games this season.

I'll say it: The NBA does try to rig games. Period.

I hope they do it to them all year long, Toronto will get a great pick in the draft, then when they come home to play, they will contend again.
