I don't think their D4 cash shop is raking in as much as they had hoped and they're now looking at other ways to increase Real Money transactions for their shareholders before the next quarterly reports drop.

They added more items in the traders shop so you cant buy everything with out opening your wallet now kekw. I legit understand why ppl play other mmos like final fantasy now.

Disappointed but not surprised. My hope was these were for thank you gifts, twitch drops, or other external promotions (akin to the KFC diablo sandwich), but of course they were added to bundle tendies with in-store purchases. I guess to be fair, Blizzard intentionally left wiggle room that clearly signaled this.

Y maybe not all but they are one of biggest company who takes part in it as long ppl pay them to buy their game, subb it, got cash shop + now got currency they can buy that was introduce as proplayers fun cosmetics. They should show good practice for others not be one of most predatoryone company - it should be shame for them they are always connected to players drama nad company greed....

@@nordicpush1452 Blizz are far from one of biggest companies, EA, Epic, MiHoYo, King are all far far worse and predatory. The practice wont stop until the giants who prove it works die. Good luck stopping FIFA players being dumb as a rock though.

Honestly, I couldn't care less if they sell tenders. What I want is better items to buy at the trading post. Some new or more unique items. What they have currently is mostly old or recolored crap.

I'm all for bashing blizzard but bro 2 years is a pretty damn long time, i think 7 months was a good dam try, Season 1 and 2 of DF until now have been a blast and with continuously improved QOL features. I hate the board at blizz but the devs are actually trying to do a good job here. You need to separate the people who make the game from the people who monetise the game. Praise the devs when its due and they will do their best. Berate them and you get shadowlands. Where most good members left the company due to unfulfilling work.

i don't think this will kill WoW but it's certainly putting the playerbase in a spotlight rn. Let's be honest about what WoW players say VS what they DO. Classic is the prime example of this, the "hard version of this game," the, "community-driven anti-meta do-whatever-you-want" version of this game became a BOTFEST FILLED WITH META-CLASSES SELLING CARRIES. classic was a game BEATEN IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS WITH DUDES DROPPING 3M GDKP BIDS AND PRETENDING IT'S NORMAL... for every 5 dudes screaming in anxiety about this new shop add, 3 of them bought in AS THEY WERE TYPING THEIR ANGST... it won't change if the gaming community stays a toxic full-of-shit hypocrite planet, and let's be real about the gaming climate post 2016..it's a fucking cesspool out here.

This is also so random and out of the blue, it's not meant for returning players or anything, it's just in the middle of the patch, without any sensible reason. However I am sure tendies will return to the in-game store as part of a similar bundle or a 6 month sub special offer before 10.2 hits live servers.

Its week 3 in 10.1.5 my guy, A patch which introduced a new spec and has an Esport event going on attracting all the m+ers which is the better part of the wow community these days.

100%. As sad as it is, you're right, 'wrist transmog' in wow, any veteran player will see that bs as a red flag. The Trading post actually is the best thing for wow in many years, I mean I no longer play WoW after 17 years but the Trading Post gave me hope the game may improve. Alas just another avenue to reveune, sucking what little heart the game had away.

ALL games are pay to play. We have been able to play for years without having to pay for anything other than our $15 sub. This is the way of gaming in 2023. You can go to another game and pay to play or stay with what you’ve loved for years and ease into pay to play. They aren’t trying to be greedy, they are trying to deal with the rest of us with inflation. You aren’t forced to buy…you can play without buying for anything but your sub. Those willing to pay..let them play the game as they choose and you play yours as you choose.

I HATE that "that's how it is" mindset. It's that way because people with no self control allowed it to happen. Blizz said "give us $25 you little piggy" and the little piggys said "okay!". This isn't just set in stone and it didn't have to be this way, people enabled this to happen.
