The most memorable episode for me was when Baby got sick and while the doctors kept pushing newer and newer drugs, the microbes just enjoyed each like a party cocktail. It was the mother-in-law who had been suggesting an old wives' tale remedy of moldy bread that actually worked. Later in life, I would realize that this was a reference to penicillin.

my most memorable one is where they have a civil war between the two legged dinos and the four legged dinos and when robbie gets drafted he asks why they arent using guns and is told because they havent been invented, that one the one where earl sells his soul for a mug with the face of some dino with a captains hat and a pipe i think its supposed to be a parody of the honeymooners character and baby tries to swipe it mission impossible style

@JanetStarChild
@JanetStarChild 5 ай бұрын
@@jamessmith6123 I understand the joke, but rather than just responding with "LAWLZ", I wanted to instead give a sincere response. The Gregorian calendar makes no sense; it would be like counting down to Robin Hood's birthday. Ideally, we should be counting up from the day the Earth formed; I suggest the moment when Thea made contact with primordial Earth, as that's the moment when the _real_ Earth began. But, as we can't pinpoint that moment, the Holocene calendar makes sense from a human history point of view.

Legally you can't pop up after 20, or 30, years and claim assault. In the other case, the man who accused Kevin Clash (Elmo) of underage sexual conduct has RECANTED. His lawyer now says it was an "adult consensual relationship." And for the record there were technically no "kids" involved, they were 17, legal in many states. Seems like a money grab to me.

@dbnydnvn In my opinion, that would have made for an adequate but forgettable ending. I think it was a good lesson for children that not all endings in life are happy ones, and that sometimes things go wrong that their parents and teachers are just as powerless as they are to put right. Every generation has its Pearl Harbor / Challenger / 9-11-01 moment when we have to acknowledge that even for children, the real world can't always be Disney. I especially like that the show didn't actually show the fate of the dinosaurs, but still made it abundantly clear in terms that most children could understand that things were not going to end well.

One fun tidbit I’m surprised this video didn’t mention: some character names are references to oil and petroleum companies. The Sinclair family (Sinclair Oil Company, who also use a dinosaur as their mascot), Earl’s best friend Roy Hess (Hess Corporation), and Earl’s boss BP Richfield (BP=British Petroleum, and Richfield referring to a field rich in oil deposits, as well as referencing the character’s wealth…very clever name :D )

One of the episodes that always stuck with me was the one with the endangered mammal that was considered a delicacy by the dinosaurs. Bobby tried to protect the last known pair from being eaten. When they tried to explain that there are no more of them, the rebuttal was, "There will always be more. That's what 'more' means."

I loved this show so much. There are bits that are always coming back to my memory, like that time where a guy named Frank had a TV show where people called to tell their problems, and his whole shtick was that he listened, then hanged up. Then Fran came up with the idea of actually offering people solutions to their problems, so she ended up replacing him, and one bit of hilarious environmental storytelling was that when Frank was hosting the show had a large "FRANK" on the background, but when Fran replaced him they just removed the "K" at the end, leaving the name off-center, which is exactly the sort of cost-cutting half measure actual TV executives would do in real life.

In the lobby of their office I saw a large model and characters on a miniature stage of a kitchen which appeared to be a show that looked very similar to DINOSAURS but with an Aliens theme. When I asked about it, they said that this show was pitched as an alien sitcom with the same technology using live actors in suits with animatronic faces but was rejected and instead made into the show DINOSAURS. Out of all the characters Robbie, the teenage son, was the one that was consistently able to recognize things ingrained in their society that would lead to disaster in the long term, and he was the one that fought the hardest for change. His younger sister wasn't as vocal on things like environmental issues, but she had her moments too, especially for the finale. The sad and relevant irony is that since they were kids with their whole lives ahead of them, they were the ones that got hit the hardest when the adults that had ignored them all along the way ruined the planet for everyone.

I remember watching dinosaurs with my family and they always made us laugh but as a kid I learned stuff. Baby Sinclair was so funny and always had my mom laughing so hard she was in tears. I introduced my kids to dinosaurs on Disney plus . They were unsure of it until they saw the baby. Adorable and devilish baby Sinclair was. Great video as always!

I had a cassette tape that was Earl reading classic fairy tales like Little Red Riding Hood to baby but they were all set in dinosaur times and the voice actors from the show. Just as hilarious and so ingrained in my memory from falling asleep to it countless times. So much talent from this cast and crew!

This was one of my favorites growing up & that finale had the whole family in tears I was a little embarrassed at 1st then I realized everyone in the room was crying that was bar none the most fucked up way to end a sitcom. But I loved it best comedy turned tragedy ever.

I loved the writing for this show, even though I was too young to fully understand it at the time. I remember jokes like "Pangaea's Funniest Home Videos" where a father and son are playing catch, and the son throws the ball and as the father is going back to catch it, he falls into an active volcano. Or the episode that has a modern-day excavation of the Sinclair's home, wondering what mysteries surrounded the hollow stone box in the center of the room, cut to Earl turning on the TV and watching a comedy.

It was poetic, there was another episode with Granny telling a story of a tree and tree pusher to baby, in the story the tree dies which the baby hates because no one in the story learned anything. but granny then says, “did you learn something?”, which is the point of the story, that is the show to teach us not to be the dinosaurs.

I'm a little confused if you go by this that means the show had to endings. There was an episode about an archaeologist finding the Sinclair family as fossils and they had all died sitting around watching television. That episode ended with the Sinclair family zombie fight watching a television show called box full of puppies if I remember the episode correctly. They hinted at watching television had made the dinosaurs go extinct I was under the impression that was the last episode of the series I didn't know there was a second episode of a totally separate Extinction event. I should also point out that there was literally a program in the late 90s that talked about Jim Henson Studios being bought by Disney after Jim Henson died and that it was a property of Disney Studios it was like a half an hour program talking about the history of Jim Henson Studios and Jim Henson himself and his death. They talked about stuff like the original Kermit the Frog being made out of a jacket. This is the first I heard that the Disney deal didn't go through for Henson Studios. When I Google it I get told that the Jim Henson Studios are owned by Walt Disney Corporation.

Guy forgot about the ending. After the news reporter said goodbye and the broadcast shutdown. Baby said "what's going to happen to us daddy.?" The significance here throughout the series he called Earl "not the mama" which always annoys Earl. Earl face reacts both to the question and being called daddy for the first time. "I don't know son, I don't know" Earl slowly walks to the window. Cut to outside. As Earl looks sadly at the falling snow the camera slowly pulls back slowly fade to black

I vividly recall watching an episode focusing on environmentalism, and a scene with Baby grunting and struggling and one of his family asks what he's doing. "I'm making compost." Unfortunately, my young teenage self had just put a heaped spoonful of yogurt in my mouth, which I promptly sprayed all over the TV from across the room. I've never done anything similar since, much to my dad's relief.

I loved this show. I did watch the finale as a kid. I thought it was weird and different, which is what I always liked about it anyway. As an aside, I found out a few years ago that there are several adult jokes hidden in the show. For example, when the Baby curses the word he says is "smoo." I happened to date someone who was from Australia who clued me in to the fact that smoo is an Australian slang term for, as she put it, "lady bits." I never would have known that if not for her so I imagine it flew over a lot of people's heads like it did mine. But Jim Henson productions are kind of infamous for sneaking in adult themes and references and such so it's not surprising. As an adult it's a new way to appreciate the show

A KZfaq ad aired immediately when your nostalgic Dinosaurs Happy Meal ad finished. The timing was so precise, I didn’t even realize it was a KZfaq ad at first. It’s as if KZfaq knew what it was doing. But no, that couldn’t possibly happen.

I was in my late teens when this aired, I remembered thinking it was pretty funny. Now I know why the finale didn't stick out in my mind - who airs the finale and then 7 more episodes? That kind of killed the impact of the episode.

Dinosaurs made its way to the UK, on ITV. I remember some of the episodes, Robbie experimenting with Vegetables, Charlene trying out a fake tail, Various adventures and Misadventures with Baby, all that good stuff. And if it's on Disney+ UK, we may have found a new teatime favourite...

I love the dinosaur boom that was happening in the early nineties. I'd say it was mostly centred around the Jurassic Park movie which came out in '93 and I guess would have already been in pre-production by the time Dinosaurs started airing, though I don't know how much of an effect it had on the show.

@@williamwilkinson6665 I'm afraid that I'm not all aware of much notable use of CGI in the dinosaur media of the early nineties outside of Jurassic Park, and even that still had plenty of practical effects... All I was saying was that I was happy that a whole variety of dinosaur media came out in the one short period. I wasn't really commenting on the quality of anything. There was everything from Dinotopia to Barney; from Jurassic Park to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Like, I enjoyed the Super Mario Bros. movie, but I'm not going to argue that it's the best dinosaur story out there.
