My childhood friend was murdered by her husband and partner for nine years, she left behind a little girl. I’d like for you to cover up her story because she hasn’t had justice and her family are too scared to try to put him to jail because he has connections with someone inside the police office, etc. There’s so much about her story, it’s mind blowing and it makes me sad.

@NikkiC777
@NikkiC777 3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I think after the sentence has already been decided it is too late? I think they can't change it now because that would probably be considered double jeopardy. I am not completely sure though about that. I know He definitely can't be tried twice for the same crime though. He definitely deserves a much longer sentence. In my opinion they really messed up just charging him with manslaughter to begin with.

I can only imagine what that was like in person and it is absolutely infuriating that she is gone now because of a senseless "joke". On top of the fact that while she was still alive, the person that she gave her entire heart to hurt her relentlessly and without remorse. My heart is broken for her, her family, and her friends, rest in peace. Thank you for covering this story.

Yes I agree with you. I do not feel this was done as an accident. He should have known he had a round chambered in that gun. It was his gun and he must have loaded it so he would have known he had actually chambered a round too. I believe he bought that gun after she left him with the intention of killing her. He should have gotten more than manslaughter. The others that left and covered for him should have gotten charged as accessories after the fact. They covered for him at the start of the investigation. They carried the victim out and left her on the neighbor's driveway. They didn't let the police in the house. The women who were Jermaine's sisters probably cleaned up blood in the house. If they did that that would be destroying evidence. The police should have checked if any blood at the scene had been cleaned up. They could have sprayed the luminol stuff around and looked for any evidence they had just been cleaning.

She never walked away from him. The only thing she walked away from was getting shot, and only cuz she was in shock. I'm sure that if not for the shock she would've wanted to be with him until her dying breath, even if he had shot her on purpose (just cuz, if you're dying, you wanna be around people you love, cuz its what's most comforting) but instead of at least staying with her and making her comfortable, he dumped her in his neighbor's driveway, alone, and ran. @@elypowell6797 I don’t think she was willing to die for him. She was attempting to get away and I’m sure was having a hard time or was tricked into going there which is possible based on the girl who stayed with her lying about the situation. If you’ve ever been in a toxic relationship with domestic violence involved it’s incredibly hard to leave the person. It defies all logic, you know you should leave and deserve better, but don’t. The most dangerous time for those in domestic violence situations is right after they do leave though, which fits this case.

it was so cruel to not tell the parents right away when their daughter passed away
@Laura-qd5fn
@Laura-qd5fn 3 жыл бұрын
It’s not really cruel they did it out of necessity to try to ensure that they get justice for their daughter, had they told the parents then they would in all likelihood tell someone else extended family, neighbours that see them distraught etc. Then they tell someone else until word gets back to the suspects and their plan fails and they potentially never get evidence and the killer goes unfound. I’m sure the parents would much rather be told a little later and find their child’s killer than be told straight away and never get the truth.

Just a note to everyone, Claire’s Law in the UK (not sure if it’s worldwide) can tell you if your partner has any history of domestic abuse or just small incidents that involved police. I was with my abusive partner for a year and after a year of abuse I did a Claire’s law application and found out so many previous incidents from his ex partners or just incidents of him being aggressive. It does help massively! It also is good even when the previous partner hasn’t been charged, it can tell you if the last victim has seeked any therapy or counselling which can give you an idea of past relationships without it having been directly involved with the police ☺️

I recently turned 14 but this murder case reminds me of when I was 3 or 4 when my older sister had an abusive boyfriend. I remember when I would hang out with them they would argue about something and then he would grab a pocket knife and pin her to a wall and threaten her right in front of me. I told my mom about all of this and we had my sister live with us and we all decided to move away. I was so young at the time and didn’t realize that it was horrible of him to do that to my sister. I am thankful that my mother got her away from him and saved our lives. I pray that people don’t have to deal with abusive partners.

I havent finished the video at the time of this comment: In America you dont let cops in your house without a warrent becUse they can and usually will use anything inside your home they can to prosecute and bring you in. Especially if you're a POC, so even if you're innocent theyll bring you in for anything and you'll get in trouble for it. American police are also infamous for planting evidence/substances so even if you're doing nothing wrong, and you live in the suburbs, don't let them in without a warrent.

Domestic violence is insidious, and you never think it's going to happen to you until it does. My teenage brother started hurting everyone in my house, and I didn't realise how bad it was until I moved back to the city and in with my parents and he hurt me too; turns out my parents were covering for him because he was 14, but he broke my dad's wrist. It's not ok, it's never ok, and I'm happy he's now getting help dealing with his anger and not hurting us. Thank you for sharing this dear girl's story, she didn't deserve what happened to her. I hope Ciara is resting peacefully, she shouldn't have died so young.

The sentencing absolutely pisses me off. TWO TO SIX YEARS for taking an innocent life, and I feel like there’s still something that group didn’t tell, and the fact that they pretty much all left her to bleed out makes them look a whole lot worse. I have a huge feeling that maybe the boyfriend did in fact know that the gun had a bullet in it. This is not justice, Ciara deserved so much better
@NikkiC777
@NikkiC777 3 жыл бұрын
I think he knew too. He loaded that gun up so he would have had to know he had chambered a round. I think he bought that gun after she left him and got the restraining order. The police would have taken it from him when they served him with the order if he had had it before. He got it after with the intention of killing her. He bought it from some random guy so he didn't need to get a background check. I think the fact that he had just barely gotten the gun after she left him kind of shows intent. So they should have gone for more than manslaughter. They should have at least gone for 2nd degree murder. In my opinion. Also the others should have gotten charged as accessories too. They carried her out and left her in the driveway, also they wouldn't cooperate with the police and probably cleaned up the crime scene.

Yes. Even if the main charge was manslaughter, they could have tacked on more charges like failing to administer aid or fleeing.. the laws vary state to state but most have something like that. And it also could be 2nd or 3rd degree murder instead of manslaughter for a longer charge, probably.

Hey Eleanor I know this might seem minuscule but actually asking for a warrant and a lawyer is good procedure when dealing with the police because it’s your right? If you’re innocent you don’t want the police coercing you into a confession and even the guilty deserve the right to due process. The idea that warrant = guilty is one that is perpetrated by cops a LOT to like harass innocent people

I'm from Rochester NY and we have a homicide almost daily. So I think it's sadly part of our culture because you're more likely to die by telling then the police arresting the person first. I mean CC died 6 days after her protection order. It's very sad. 😔😢

@@RubyOnixx Yh I totally get that and it’s sad for her to die by protecting herself (which is why my head in a situation like her would be once I start telling I’m never going back. You cannot trust them. Ps I don’t blame her). My thing though is they kept secret and if the parents never told them about the boyfriend they would never have said anything and he would have never been court. God forbid he would have done it to someone else. So they should have gone to jail. Especially the “friend” she’s fake for that. I honestly believe they all set her up that night. That’s why they never spoke or changed stories so much. Didn’t want to get caught in knowing before hand what he wanted to do.
