I’m someone who’s from the DC area, so a lot of this hit hard because i recognize a lot of these locations. Racism plays such a key role because a lot of these disappearances happened in the anacostia area. that area definitely doesn’t receive the resources they deserve from police because it is a majority black-brown area with a lot of poverty. it’s such a shame that black girls are robbed the life they deserve, and the world will never know how brilliant they could have been. rest in peace to all the victims, and shame on the police.

I told my boyfriend this and he said nah those shoes have probably been gone for a long time. I looked at him and said why bother taking them then if he wasn’t gonna keep them? Cause if he was 27-32 like the FBI thought they would be about 77-83 right now if they’re still alive so there is a possibility that this could happen. I have to believe that it will. I want the families of these 6 beautiful young girls/young women to be at peace, and get the answers they’ve been denied all these years. And if not a spouse a child, or a grandchild someone has to find these shoes.

Cops don't usually have rotating beats, so it wouldn't have been the areas he was patrolling, especially since some were outside of DC. It could still be a cop; he'd know where all the other cops were at any given time so he'd know where he could dump a body.

I live in Louisiana & there’s a HUGE case here that is still “ unsolved” They had a series on HBO or either HULU about it. There was also a book written. The Jefferson 8. If you search that you’ll get more info then you were hoping for but not. In my 100% unbiased opinion it was 100% the police department/ people of political importance that killed those women. It’s a rabbit hole with too many people to keep account of, I’d love to hear your opinions on it even if you don’t ever cover it. When I tell you my jaw dropped. Being that some names listed in the book are names of people who had political power or still do! Bailey using her makeup brushes as props, waving them at us in an animated way like the “and you’re watching Disney Channel” wands 🪄 is such an iconic staple of every video. Even her beauty blenders play a role...

"Especially women" his victims were LITTLE GIRLS they didn't even get the chance to become the beautiful women they could've been 💔 Edit: Never thought my comment would spark arguments. Just want to say to remember to try and show empathy always.

Not only were they young girls, but they were Black/African-American girls! If they were white/Caucasian girls, the cops definitely would’ve connected the dots faster. Edit: I wasn’t trying to say that white/Caucasian girls & women don’t go missing, just that Brown/Black girls & women go missing at disproportionately higher rates & unfortunately cops don’t make those connections faster or don’t believe it’s newsworthy... there was another case that Bailey Sarian talked about - see Church Cult & Cellar Girls, all of the victims were Black/African-American women & the cops also dropped the ball on that case... Cops need to be better at their jobs!

It’s so bizarre to me that a sister who doesn’t live there would go all the way to the house, just to request her younger sister go to the store for her. If she needed something, why not go there on her way? I don’t think she was guilty for her going missing, I think it’s something more than that.

That's what got me too. Did she go to see if their mum had money she could borrow or did their mum have a tab at the local store that she wasn't able to get items on but the younger ones living at home could? I found that part slightly off.
