Little update on this: At a recent event, Tui confirmed that the team is still trying to make this series happen! They’re looking for another streaming service following Netflix’s cancellation

As a wings of Fire fan this really made me sad but maybe it's not so bad to begin with I mean it could have and (I'm just saying hypothetically )this could have saved us from a horrible representation

In all honesty, I didn’t have a lot of high hopes the Netflix adaptation would’ve turned out well, especially towards those who read the books. They probably would’ve skipped over a handful of memorable moments and cut out anything violent and graphic. I think it’s best that the Wings Of Fire franchise stays in book format where it belongs.

I'm lukewarm on the whole cancellation since we didnt have a lot to get hyped over to begin with, but this did make me remember something; there was a lot of discussion on whether arc 3 was the final arc in the series or not, and some sources claimed that miss tui wanted to finish all the books before the tv show was released. Well, now that the show is canned, does this mean there's hope for a fourth arc? I certainly hope so~ also, I hope this spurs the animatedwings channel to pull through for us. Their concept art and test animations are so high quality, I probably would have been disappointed with anything "official" compared to their character designs alone.

It’s truly a dark time to be a WoF fan

Well that cleared up what "Creative Differences" meant in my mind. Netflix wants boss baby but dragons. Litterally nobody else does for obvious reasons. People like *good* stories. People pay good money for stories! This massive support will hopefully show this story will be well worth it to risk making.

I believe there's still hope for the show! Keep in mind that there are numerous projects out there that are already in the works to help reillustrate the series! I'm sure WB can look at all these current fan projects and draw more inspiration and ambition to continue making the show!

Yeah when I first found about about Netflix's decision I flipped out, I was no lie, going to get a Netflix subscription purely to watch wof which I find deathly ironic and I completely feel that Netflix's decision was not smart at all, however since their still is a hope for the wings of fire show, whelp I guess can work with that. 🤞 Fingers crossed everyone

I had high hopes, I had low expectations. Expected the worst but hoped for the best, something to always remember.

I know I’m coming to this video a year late and a lot has happened, but I think the point of streaming services wanting to make “easy, cheap, widely marketable” content is a good one. Like most things, profit margins were considered a higher priority than the quality of content, which is why we see so much animation specifically getting canceled and/or cut from streaming services. It’s really sad because it’s an amazing story telling format. I hope we can see the wings of fire show one day!

Kind of expected, sadly. Netflix hasn't been doing well, so scrapping a project in favor of keeping other shows that are still making money going is an obvious, albeit sad, answer.

HBO Max is more likely to pick up the series due to there many successful deals with WB (the Snyder Cut, Godzilla vs Kong and James Guns suicide squad). So there is a lot of hope for the series.

Personally I'm relieved If Tui's only reason for not writing more books is because she was waiting for the TV show to come out if it's not coming out then she could go back to writing more books if you really wants to And we're saved from the inevitable bad adaptation

Me and my friends are building a website about wof. We are also creating a page dedicated to spread awareness of what happened to the netflix series, as well as encouraging them to make a stand against it. Could we use your video in our website. I feel that it would be easier to explain it to them that way

I think if they chose a different director there would've been more optimism financially about it, Netflix has been hemorrhaging money due to some of the content they've put out and some of their bone-headed policies they contemplated putting into place to make up for said losses

Paramount would be a great option for that because they listen to the fans. Just look at how successful the Sonic the Hedgehog movie was. Disney I'm on the fence about, but they have money to spare on an experiment (though they probably won't.). Hulu is...iffy. But I agree. Fans want this, so let's make it happen.

There's also another example of the book to movie adaptation attempts that are failed Like thomas and friends which Is very very different from wings of fire but i'm just showing you examples of a book getting a movie or series adaptation So thomas and friends which is based of the railway series books by Rev W. A. And Had 2 adaptation for television but both of them are failed The first one is when BBC back in 1950s adapted the sad story of henry but it went wrong when a crew member lifted a train model while the camera is rolling And now the BBC airing of the original adapted of the sad story of henry was considered lost media And the second one is when andrew lloyd adapted the railway series books in 2d animated and make it musical but it was cancelled due to some investors are not interested it and the andrew lloyd version was also considered lost media besides the photos that remain Now i think wings of fire would occasionally get another adapted for television or movie in the future some day

Sorry, buddy, but i saw this coming from a mile away, netflix is under a lot of fire because of all of the new streaming services And they've lost a lot of money from the shows and how expensive they are (stranger things is wonderful yet EXPENSIVE)
