Historically accurate greatswords, from what I was told, were actually around 6-8 pounds or so. So this is, again, umpractically cool.

Can attest. My lowlander is 5'8", and has almost no weight. Not as fast as a longsword, but fast enough. Guy in the video swings leave him wildly open to attack. He'll knock your head off if he connects, but he has to connect, and the swinging means he's telegraphic where he's coming from. He can't feint the direction.

@@icedpm In a battle, would you be able to consistently swing a 40+ pound sword over and over again over the span of hours? No. You know what kind of weapon you could with though? A mace. And you know what maces are good at punching at? Armor. Why carry a 40+ pound sword that is super unwieldy to use especially in armor, when you can swing a much smaller 10+ mace with much more strength.
