Hi everyone
Well we had a change of plans and headed to Preston Brook where we start this vlog. Thinks a good here and we're looking forward to uploading a few more vlogs for you before heading to Spain in our old bettered camper van for winter. Hope you enjoy the vlog and let me know in the comments if you have any ideas on how to improve them ( be kind ) .

I'm stuck in my windowless dungeon of a work place, so I really enjoy your videos of the great outdoors and adventures on your narrow boat. Solar power generators are fantastic. I've a Bluetti EB55 for my minicamper, and EcoFlow are good too and making a name for themselves. Everyone wants a Jackery, but they're all fur coat. Thanks again for the video!

Just seen your video about the chav problem you had. I'm impressed you do litter picking on your journey. You obviously care about your environment. Hope you have had a more pleasant experience since that unfortunate incident. Happy sailing to you and hope you continue to enjoy that remarkable lifestyle.

The bridge after the 2012 breach where Kathryn was moored is a path down to the river and a beautiful circular walk back to bridge 213 with views of the viaduct and the river locks also a cafe just before returning to the towpath. You should try it next time a great mooring.

Just so you know everytime you say walkies my dogs jump off the sofa and run to the door only tonight it was raining so they wouldn't go outside and blamed me for you saying walkies 😂😂😂 😂

I had 2 dogs with which I could walk through sheep (without injury to to the dogs) good at sitting by me as I ordered my tipple in whichever pub. I understand how you get on with your family.

Hi Del. I've just found your vlog and come across this one from Preston Brook. You probably don't remember, but I couldn't help but notice that you must have been in Midland with Ben and Emily, unless that's where they left it parked while on their travels. Their unmistakable AA yellow van isn't easy to miss, especially with the 'Wolf' design.

Great video. Mmm...Marstons' Pedigree used to be a good pint, at least it wasn't Hall & Woodhouse. £4.30 is a bargain for a pub pint, in my area it is £5.00+.

I seem to remember when I was young when you ordered a pint the landlord asked if you wanted it in a glass or a sleever, so I think that glass with the handle you were drinking out of in the second pub was a sleever. Well that was in Yorkshire back in the day, so I don't know if it was a word used nationally.

About 5 pound for a handle is cheap, here in Australia the average is 5 or 6 pound with yuppy small breweries charging around 8 pounds for a pint

I feel the same way about food and pubs. Have you tried The Blue Bell at Kidsgrove, just before (or after) the tunnel? Also, you mentioned the journey to The Riverside being a long way. It is actually on the Weaver. The road takes a left after the bridge and follows the river. Finally, The Leigh pub is pronounced "lee". Bought you a coffee to cover the price. (Try the Pyewipe on the Witham. Good pub but definitely pricey.) Take care.

I think the third pub was up the road from the Leigh Arms. It closed about 10 years ago and then became a curry house which lasted for 6 months. It could be a pub again but not been that way for a long time.

Directors beer, is that a courage brewery? My dad use to drink that back in the day as the courage brewery was down near the docks in Bristol. on a good day back in the 70s you could smell the brewery on the north side of the city over the river. if the wind was in the right direction..
