Rancher Brent has some infected cattle. He has the brands changed and then has them put on the Evans ranch, With the law requiring the entire herds to be destroyed, he gets Larry Smith to help him illegally drive his and the Evans' cattle across the state line. Lullaby learns of the scheme and tries to stop Larry.

I wish Ralph Byrd was in more of these, I liked him as a cowboy.

Great to see Mesquiteers Ray and Max with "Dick Tracy" and real life WW II vet Ralph Byrd. Also, WW I vets Hal Taliaferro and silent-film star Robert Warwick who played dad Evans. Sammy McKim earned the Distinguished Service Cross medal during the Korean War.
