We weren't started in some corporate office, but in the back room of a Wasatch Mountain running store. Our founders, -elite athletes and running store managers, -wanted a shoe that let you run the way you were born to. They noticed that the design of most running shoes was hurting runners more than helping them. Elevated heels promote high-impact landing and narrow toe boxes squeeze the toes out of their natural position.

I got to run with Mike for a few miles at night at the Brazos Bend 100... I was telling him (not knowing who he was) about this awesome guy that finished the triple crown (mike looked cold and tired and I thought I could help give a stranger a mental pep talk), and he looked over and said “Hi, I’m mike. That was me, nice to meet you!” He was so cool and down to earth and friendly. It was so awesome to meet such an incredible athlete. Being around him gave me the last little bit of energy to finish my first 50 miler & first ultra! Happy trails!

Altra. Trying to tempt me into doing 200 miles in three days...just cause I like watching videos like this and I use your product you think you can inspire me to do something this crazy? You might be right! Tempting. Mike, way to go man! Keep it up!

Not tempting to me at all. But they are supposed to be tempting you to do the Triple Crown of 200s, the Bigfoot 200, the Tahoe 200, and the Moab 240. Maybe they are in on it with the RD who does all three?

we imagine elite athletes breezing thru even 200 mile races, but instead we have to appreciate the ability to suffer and persevere. Great job Mike! Inspiring. Hope I'll be able to repeat another Triple Crown this year, Are you in?

@@kiezel87 Bigfoot cancelled :/ i did, however, run 200 miles with my friend in Patapsco State Park. It took us 73 hrs. It was miserable but we made it! Planning on running Bigfoot in 2021 💪

You actually don't have to run. You can simply walk the entire 200 miles. Some have proven that! Not that I would want to try...

Congrats to Mike, absolute unit that lad. Also I thought I'd explain my dislike. The music is abysmal and by far the most obnoxious out of the countless ultra videos I've seen. It really makes it hard to enjoy the film.

I agree with you regarding the noise-track that was mistakenly added to the video. The visuals and commentary are plenty to pitch the story.

Altra, if you aim to sell more shoes. Make advertisement videos of people running. Not walking. You can disregard my advice if you think I am wrong.
