I grew up in the east end of Glasgow in the 1970s with Irish maternal grandparents, one Catholic (South) and one (Protestant) from the North. My grandfather a Protestant from Co Tyrone, loathed Mr Paisley for the damage and the hate filled words he spouted, and who called himself a man of God and his (political gain) hostility towards sections of people in Northern Ireland, under the guise of being a unionist. It is such people who contributed to those troubling times and to the loss and damage of all the people of those times.

Yes. Yes Paisley was/is an arrogant prat. Unfortunately the UK government made things worse too even without collusion. But there certainly was collusion e.g. with the Loughinisland incident. All of the lives lost, all of the structural damage, everything - such a waste. Why did it have to happen? Well that's humans for you.

@@xexyz0xexyl there was collusion from as soon as the British army came to Erin n 1969 they used proxy loyalists aswell to murder there catholic’s neighbours innocent lives cut short ballymurphy new lodge Bloody Sunday to name a few they the army never seen the protesent people as a problem as they were British though they viewed any catholic as being ira men that’s why they killed so many innocent people lives were ruined families in turmoil for good like ballymurphy n new lodge they killed innocent civilians claiming they had guns they were just trigger happy thugs wanting to kill as that’s what they trained for u hear it today from soldiers who served n Iraq n Afghanistan they soldier tell u on camera am wanting to kill people that’s what we trained for lot a bad apples in a huge army 🇮🇪32

Matt Easterbrook Great, wasn't it. Still can't find this final episode. Must have been made in the 70s this? Interesting to see the narrative from 1920s up to the recent period.
