The fact that the title screen changes makes the ending hit so hard

Chien is from a prequel comic along with the Shanhai 9000 you give map chips to. If you give all the chips to him before the point of no return, you get to see them reunite once you pass it. Chien trained under Eigong as a Dusk Guardian, which is why she has a sword like Eigong. She's actually the one writing all the dusk guardian diaries you find next to those dead solarian bodies around the world.

As a note for you. The 3rd phase is True Ending Only. The normal ending is just two phases, she dies and you go back to Yi's planet with Shuanshuan. The true ending is for me 1000x better, glad you went for that one.

Just said, in Chinese culture there was actually a story is about a hero shoot nine sun to save people. There was 10 sun, and a hero called Yi shoot 9 of them, so people been saved form heat.

46:49 I am not sure about it, and I believe that ShuanShuan cried for a quiet long time, we can see the tears mark still able to see on Shuanshuan's face even they are reach the the blue planet already. Poor Shuanshuan

fun fact: if you do buy everything from funky merchant guy, he asks for second weapon, dies trying to kill his brother, and asks you to finish the job. i am also frustrated i didn't find that one recording you stumbled upon as it is related to shanghai 9000(map bot in your hub), i only found her body. but for body you'd need to find and give to him all map chips, or so i think. you also get a fun but useless trinket if you buy chips with jin instead of violent extraction.

You summed up my thoughts on this game perfectly. I waited to watch your series until after I beat it myself, and I binged it all today. When the demo first came out a friend and I made a yt video about why the combat is so good, so I was extremely excited for release. The game is the absolute perfect game to emulate all of the best parts of Sekiro. People often say that Lies of P was a true successor to Sekiro, but honestly (while I'm only a couple bosses into it at the moment), I haven't felt a whole lot of the Sekiro influence other than just the way the parry works, and I think the reason Sekiro is such an incredible game is because of everything in the combat, not just the parry. And frankly, Nine Sols is the only game that's come out since Sekiro that I think emulates the beauty of Sekiro's combat to such a degree. Not to mention the story is surprisingly emotional, and the design of the hub world as it progresses over the whole game with the things popping up as you give items, the whole interaction with Shanhai 9000 and Chien (which you did miss sadly), and ofc Chiyou (my boy) trading for all of Shuanshuan's stuff because he loves it so much. Pretty much every part of the game is incredible and perfectly tailored to people like me (and clearly you as well) who love the design philosophy of "everything you do should feel cool as fuck" that Sekiro did so well. What a game, I'm so glad you enjoyed it and I really hope for some DLC in the future.

Man, I enjoyed series so much. The story, the gameplay, the music and of course myth they all just slay. The ending is so emotional that I kinda have hard time imagining a person who woudn't tear up even a little bit. Such a beatiful tragic story, but no matter what catastrophic disaster happens the sun will rise again. The best mornings for about two weeks since the begining of the series. I absolutly loved it. Eigong is a true beast! It took me hours to learn her patterns. She is right there with the Owl, Isshin and all the great monstruosities created by FromSoftware. This... is one hell of an epic game. And the only other game that could beat Nine Sols to Best Metroidvania of the Year is Silksong. No ifs, no buts. That is one hell of a job, RedCandleGames. And you, MithyMoo, you are top tier gamer, not only for the amazing display of gamer skill, but also for being a backer of this class-a game.

Wow you so good at this game Most people i knew took like 5+ hrs to learn this and it's hard to stay consistent too for parry timing in p1. A lot of people change to story mode for this fight cuz it's just that tough.(Tougher than Ishin for me) Like srsly 15 hrs!? Most people took 25~30 hrs for normal mode. It just shows how short amount of time you beat each bosses.

Myth is The best gamer ever when it comes to those games. Ive been struggling with eigong for 3 hoirs and still stuck on phase 2

Im only 25 minutes in, spoilers for npc quests: but during the final escape, if youve given all the map pieces and collected all of the items and done all the mini bosses in the bottom left corner of the room with Eigongs statue, is the end of the story for Shanghai 9000, in the same room but top left corner if you bought everything and gave both the weapons will be Chianhao ready to finish his story. And once Ah-Nong leaves pavillion you can go all the way through and save the village, and someone will get sick, and youll have to go back to whrre you first started the game to kill a special enemy, then you can finish ah-nongs story.
