I first saw this show when I was 7:years old. It moved me then, and it moves me today at 65. God Bless Charles Schulz for standing up to the network executives who pressured him to remove this scene.

I'm happy to see I'm in good company with these comments! I was 6 when I first saw Charlie and Christmas and it had a profound effect on me too. I still watch it every year but with my Granddaughter now❤️🎄

This is one of the most poignant and endearing scenes in the history of film. I was deeply moved when I first saw this way back in the 1960's, even though I was only in the first or second grade by that time. I also remember being surprised that Linus quoted from the book of Luke. I just didn't see it coming. I'm not sure what I had expected in response to Charlie's question, but it wasn't that. Merry Christmas, and God bless us every one. . .
