It pains me every year for players to be left out of the conversation for MVP because they are not apart of a TOP Contender or a team that the media is buzzing away about.
This year Stafford got snubbed a MVP. A year where he truly was playing at a MVP level but never considered among the voters.
In this video, I break down why Stafford deserved MVP over Lamar and every other guy in the NFL this 2023 nfl football season.

I thought the same. Idk how he never came up in the mvp conversation. Insane. That team had no business being a playoff team, or even a good team. He absolutely threw lasers all season, I’m gonna miss watching this dude when he hangs it up

Right?!? We were talking the Rams as being the number 1 overall pick this year with having pretty much all rookies and a couple stars... Then Stafford decided to become a gridiron wizard... The dude slayed. Lets not focus on him retiring yet, i don't want to see him be done yet 😭

To be the league mvp, you'd have to at least be the MVP of your team. Nacua was their most valuable player all year, brutha

Puka has been outstanding, but again, it has taken special throws from Stafford in order to unveil Puka. Aside from that, there has been games where Puka was not doing much and I pointed out in the video with the packers that without stafford the offense, including the receivers were not producing.

You have to understand how important it is to have a QB that feeds you the ball not only in quantity but in quality. There's no mistake or fluke that Calvin Johnson was a Triple Crowner & HOFer, Kupp is a Triple Crowner and Super Bowl MVP and Nacua is a Rookie Record Breaker. Passing the ball from the pocket is still a QBs most valuable quality.

Preaching to the converted here, Stafford is the most disrespected QB in NFL history as far as I'm concerned. I find it telling Jonah Jackson chose LA to play with his QB from his rookie season in Detroit. He says his teammates and other players refer to Stafford as the Wizard, awesome name and fitting.

Lamar Jackson tossed 36 TDs to only 6 INTs his first full season in the NFL with Hollywood Brown as his lead receiver & was reduced to 16 (less than half) to 13 (more than double) Strictly Due To the play-calling of his own OC. (I'll link the videos proving this if asked). Despite the fact that the most respected analysts (who have some autonomy to point this out & not lose their jobs) have made videos _proving_ this was all due to his OC's play-calling, people *this season still insist* that he is a glorified RB. He didn't even have a Puka Nacua or a Sean McVay. He had one high-mid WR, one above-average TE when he wasn't injured & 3 more mid-range receivers (Likely, Beckham & Bateman) & an OC who still doesn't understand that those guys can't get open down the field regularly. Stafford _is_ perhaps disrespected a little, but he's hardly The Most Disrespected QB in existence. Tom Brady gets credited for wins he doesn't deserve & indeed, should have lost, Aaron Rodgers the opposite, gets blamed for losses. Brady's playoff win % in games where he threw 3 or more *INTs* is better than what Rodgers' is in games where he threw 3 or more TDs. Justin Fields is still being openly blamed for what everyone knows was Deliberate Sabotage by his Own Coaches & may never get another chance to start again in the NFL. So no, Stafford isn't _THE most_ disrespected. Right now I'd say even Josh Allen is suffering more disrespect than he is. His HC is absolutely nuts, keeps taking over the play-calling in any game he gets the least bit stressed & his play-calls run the gamut from "run the ball out of shot-gun" to "hike the ball to Josh. Then uhh, maybe he'll think of something" & Allen is forced to carry the team. & only when he fails to completely do so do fans mention it. Sean McVay is one of The Best Offensive Play-callers in the league. Sean McDermott can lose a game in thirteen seconds. Switch them now & watch what happens. Allen would be MVP for sure.

Absolutely! I think you could make a case when he was Detroit on how good he is really but with the Rams and with a proper offensive scheme and real playmakers. Man… This is hall of fame level stuff. It is interesting that he went to LA. Super cool 😎

@@JustAnFootballGuyThat trade saved both his legacy & Jared Goff's career. Goff & Cousins are alike in that both prefer plays where everything is tightly controlled. If you watch Goff's highlight reels, you'll find he looks like the Bravest Person because he will even throw to spots he can't see if he knows in advance where St-Brown is _supposed_ to be. Cousins threw 2 INTs *_during_* the record-breaking comeback against the Colts. Simply, he was throwing to where Jefferson was *supposed* to be but on both those routes JJ was shaken up & his replacement didn't run those routes correctly. The psychological reason both do well & are confident throwing even blindly is that like most people, having to innovate = having to Make decisions. Making decisions = 'Higher Degree of Responsibility' & that makes most people uncomfortable. The fear of "What if _MY_ decision goes wrong" can paralyze a lot of people. Sure enough both of them suck whenever plays don't go as planned. Cousins was _just showing signs_ of being able to handle such situations when two games later, he tore his achiles. The Reason the Bears nearly beat the Lions twice however is that Goff can still get REALLY rattled by any amount of pressure really. I actually didn't watch the NFL from '14 until I started again in '22 & had to watch film & work backwards to figure these things out. With Stafford on the Lions it's actually hard to tell why he didn't succeed. The play-calling wasn't great, but it didn't need to be. So it was probably the lack of o-line & not having more talent at any one time than Calvin Johnson. But McVay likes QBs to be able to adjust to what the defenses do. This is why he always has someone in motion to tip off the QB as to whether they're playing man, cover zero etc. He met Stafford & learned he can read defenses. For Goff, reading defenses was to then make decisions regarding what he read. This caused him to freeze. McVay likely doesn't know any of this but after meeting Stafford & talking, he realized he had that ingredient Goff was refusing to learn, so he made that trade. It worked for All Parties involved. How often does _that_ happen?

I really think he will. Stafford has been on another level since coming to LA. The 2022 year was a blimp with injuries , really bad o line and no receivers when Kupp went down. But now they have a chance with the good draft class they had past two years to make another Run and maybe establish themselves as a multi year contender while Stafford is still in his Prime but nearing the end👀.
