You nailed it with externalities. All those things impact your wellbeing. Its much harder to take action when you're chronically depressed from work. This is super relevant to me as Im losing my job due to poor performance. It was a wake-up call to double down on the things I care about.

It's funny how you can suddenly become a top performer if you work on things you actually care about. But sometimes to road to that is to go through the more unpleasant experiences first. All the best!

The currency of a dead end job only buys a default future. It's doled out in instalments of drudgery in which the messaging boils down to "Shut up and do your job". The challenge is to work everyday to not let that define us and to see that there are better ways to work.

Some days back a senior person told me in response to my question that its possible to get a job of required 1 year experience as fresher by making right resume so could you elaborate on how to make it effectively as there's a big competition in field of Aec construction industry as engineers for freshers so how to tackle the problem as i do have the essential skills and internship experience..

It's useful to have a strong summary at the top of the resume, brief and precise. Also, to phrase your work experience in terms of what you delivered for the company (e.g. 'completed', 'reduced', 'increased', possibly with complete numbers). That being said, the biggest challenge is getting the resume in the hands of the recruiters in the first place. If you have the skill and experience they're looking for, it will increase that chance by a lot. If there are too many competitors, as in people with the exact same skill and experience level and type, then you'll need to find a way to differentiate yourself and offer something that others don't have. @@MultipleCareers well I don’t think you realize how gorgeous you are. Your level of wisdom is also amazing and take it from me, I used to own my business on Wall Street and that’s another long story. I never liked that cold concrete jungle but I still trade knowing all the risks just like the FTX, Madoff and other schemes happening behind the scenes.
