Thanks for sharing. I always appreciate hearing about non traditional paths that people have taken for themselves. Your story in particular is inspiring as I work in IT to pay the bills, but as a passion run a non profit that is growing every month and produce mildly successful podcast. Again thanks for sharing and may you have many more successes in your future.

Many thanks for your explanation. It shows how random an actual proffesional development can be. I personally have being curious from childhood, doing experiments or reading all the day when not in school. Nowadays I do my engineering job and side DiY projects, but I find difficult to inspire my kids into STEM and home affordable projects, so a series of tips for that will be great! Thanks for your continuous effort and keep going! :-)

For affordable home projects I'd recommend The Space Gal - kzfaq.info/love/j7mQxv2dAm6mhyx8-kb5Xw she also has a great Netflix series "Emily's Wonder Lab" And yes, completely random 😅

I just go to bed when I am tired which leads to me having a ~25h day, as in I go to bed aprx 1h later each day and wake up 1h later. This of course requires to have a job which is not depending on a regular schedule, for example a 9-5 job would not make this possible. I do this for the past 9 years now and it works great for me, but it kind of sucks when you want to go buy stuff and it's in the middle of the night and I kind of have to wait til 7am in the morning to buy stuff, but I can anticipate this which makes it less of a problem

This might sound a bit cliche but Braincraft is really one of most underrated channel on KZfaq. The content in this channel has the capability to invalidate some productivity channels who give advises on life and productivity based on self help books without any deep insights that rarely works. Vanessa's content are built on thorough research and her information and advises are based on deep understanding of a subject she is presenting. This is one of the reason why we don't see daily uploads like other channels. Most of the uploads here are of high quality with valuable information that helps us understand ourselves and people around us better. This channel deserves millions of viewers and subscribers. I hope you are doing some work to make this channel grow faster, perhaps use KZfaq shorts and produce tiktok like 30 second attention and interest grabbing videos to gain more audience. Best wishes

For years I had no idea what I wanted to be or do. Everything has a caveat of course and I always saw them as obstacles. Now I finally know something I'd like to try at least. If it doesn't work as a side gig then at least I can keep doing what I am now. Are there any good resources you would recommend for an aptitude test etc? You may have taken the path not worn but now plenty of people see the way you went. Thanks for the encouragement and entertainment!

I have to tell you that I was so relieved when your recounting of drawing what you wanted to be when you grew up *didn't* end with a teacher telling you that you couldn't pursue your dreams because you're a female. I know vast improvements have been made in the world of STEM where gender equality is concerned, but the global society is a long way off from the work being done. Anyhow, thanks so much for sharing your story.

I genuinely don't understand how people find it so hard to go to bed, put their phone away, and sleep. It must be some kind of millennial and zoomer addiction or something, because I have never had any issues just putting the phone down, going to bed, and going to sleep. I spend all day in front of a PC for work, and most of my evenings in front of one for entertainment, but never had any issues just shutting it down and going to bed at bed time. Seems utterly bizarre that people can't do that.
