@@hinokaichikunn4140 Hey, sorry for taking so long to respond, don't worry about not seeing a big difference especially in the first days trust me theres already a big difference in terms of skin texture I used to use a scrub ones a while cause the flakey skin was very annoying to deal with especially cause I had to get my driver's license photo lmfao Yeah but about my acne I had very textured skin cause of a skin fungus and hormonal acne in my chin and jaw , I also had alot of blackheads and blemishes on my cheeks. Holy shit I never expected this so work so well, this is god sent it's all clearing up well so far. And please use sun screen since it's stripping your skin down to nothing, you are prone to get wrinkles while using it!

Okay I'll give a clear info on BP - 2.5-5% is good for the face 10% is mainly for body acne(back acne) But to many people 2.5-5% doesn't work on their face hence they use higher concentration of 10% on face. So my suggestion, first use low conc, it should work for most of you. If not, then use 10% for the face. But for body acne, always 5 or 10%

I used 4.5% in soap form, it reduced my acne a lot but it came back to normal so after using that for a month I’m now currently using a homeopathic calendula soap but that’s been eh so should I get back on benzoyl peroxide and use 10%? Since my skin has adapted right?

I just started using Panoxyl 10% benzoyl peroxide like 4 days ago and so far so good…I’ve been using a gentle salicylic acid cleanser that I know works good for my face and I’ve been using that in the mornings and the Panoxyl at night. As of now, my face hasn’t been drying out yet!!

As long as you use a good moisturizer and lightweight hydrating sunscreen, you are fine. I throw in a youth hydrating essence serum by Lancome at night to be fancy but it’s up to you. The mouth area tends to get drier more easily in my opinion.

I've used benzoyl peroxide for so long at this point I'll just use 10% all over my face multiple times a day and be fine. I do have super oily skin though and the benzoyl's drying agent definitely helps.

If you make yor skin dry it will only make it more oily by producing more😢 sebum and can also cause white heads to your skin

The key to controlling oily skin is using niacinamide cleanser that makes your pores very small while lightning skin and follewed by a niacinamide + zinc serum that makes your skin matt and not oily through out the whole day ❤❤

And if you want to have very bright even toned skin that won't turn darker through out the day you can add a vitamin c serum or moisturizer (i advice using moisturizer if you have oily skin like me whith fungul acne that itches and white heads since vitamin c serum can dry skin wich is a no no to oily skin 😊)❤❤❤

Since Benzoyl peroxide is an active ingredient you cannot mix it with other active ingredients such as nicinamide , vitamin C etc.also you cannot apply benzoyl peroxide overnight instead use it as a spot mask for 30-60 mins. And apply it alternate days not continusly everyday!. Hope this helps 😊 Edit - guys im just sharing my skincare knowledge and its not like im a professional or something.

I've been using BP on and off for a decade; my suggestion would be use on alternative days in case you see dryness and erythema(which is common). Make sure you don't skip SPF during daytimes and use moisturizer whenever it's necessary. 2% is as effective as 5%, higher concentration leads to more irritation, listen to your skin and give what it needs. @@JhgpJhgf I assume you're referring to BP 10% facewash?. BP 10% over the counter prescription is too strong, but facewash is relatively well tolerated. Do patch test before you give it a shot and if your skin is sensitive then BP 10% facewash one day is fine.

I have never seen anything lower than 4% in stores. And that is only from cerave and panoxyl. Similar with salycilic acid lower than 2% is hard to find. I used to use a product that was 0.5%SA from Yes to Tomatoes which I liked but I don't think that is sold anymore. I use Cerave rough and bumpy wash because it has SA but it doesn't say the amount so I assume it is lower than there 2% aimed at acne. My skin does not like the higher concentrations.

As an oily skin and acne prone teen, Benzoyl Peroxide is a life saver! It was given to me by my doctor as an acne treatment and out of all things has cleared my acne really well. As some people said it hasn’t worked for them, you also have to make sure you work WITH the treatment to clear your acne. Benzoyl peroxide works to peel at excessive oils, bacteria, and dead skin cells which causes dry skin. So, how do you work against the dry skin? Easy, you use a face wash that you KNOW doesn’t harm your skin twice a day before and after your treatment. MOISTURIZE your skin when you’re not using the treatment or after you use it. Yes, benzoyl peroxide will burn because it is an active ingredient (according to my research) and it is recommended to use 2-5% instead of 10% because benzoyl peroxide is so powerful. Also, STOP sleeping on sides of your face. Sleep on your back with nothing touching your face. Do NOT itch or touch your face, it will bring new acne because we carry bacteria on our fingers. Lastly, be consistent…work with your benzoyl peroxide to get that clear skin. Also, make sure you drink water and incorporate healthy foods in your diet, it will help you a lot more with gut health and might cause faster progress. And, don’t give up! Work with your treatment.

I used panoxyl max strength benzoyl peroxide wash alongside with adapalene gel yes it is really drying but no signs of irritation in my experience at least and follow up with la roche posay toleriane moisturizer, after my cystic acne is cleared up I stopped using benzoyl and switched to gentle cleanser but still using adapalene but planning to using a tretinoin for a better routine and it’s over a year now my skin is not perfect but the texture and tone is significantly better and also don’t forget the sunscreen in the morning.

What you need to do is to apply the benzoyl peroxide product into your entire face to heal and prevent all forms of acne. I tried to use benzoyl peroxide as only spot treatment before, ends up, they heal the acnes, but new acne form again on the other parts of my face. And so I realized that I should use it to my entire face everyday, and so, I rarely get new acne 😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank me later

i started using benzoyl peroxide last year and did so for about 4 months. i then started using a clindamycin phosphate gel for another 4 months. the results after using the benzoyl peroxide gel were AMAZING; the clindamycin gel was good but not as good as the bp so i decided to start a korean skincare routine. i have 5 products and i have been trying to slowly incorporate them into my skincare routine. however, i feel that my skin is looking slightly worse than it was when i started and i want to go back to just using a cleanser, bp, moisturiser and spf 😭 it worked for me and ig this is a lesson for me to stick to what works rather than follow trends; idk whether the korean skincare is meant to work like this before it does its job but im not very convinced rn 😭 moral: bp did WONDERS for my skin

Ya i always get influenced with these routines and trends and buy products which do no good but harm. I got so many pimples this month itself that I feel embarrassed to even go out. I used to use clindamycin gel 1% as that's what my dermatologist had suggested but it wasn't doing much. Then my cousin suggested me Benzoyl peroxide 5%. Just brought one today, let's see how it goes. If this doens't work then I ain't gonna try anything else because my skin is already gone 😭

@@vionafernandes4619 i get you sm, i feel like clindamycin phosphate didn't do much for me either. good luck with the benzoyl peroxide, just note it can be super drying so my doctor recommended using an oil free moisturiser (yours may say different so don't go by my words!) don't give up!!! i hope you can be satisfied and happy with your skin ❤

I’ve been using benzoyl peroxide for 4 months, my acne keeps appearing. I use adapalene gel at night. I use a salycilic acid cleanser in the morning. I use a salycilic acid (.5%) moisturizer “Cetaphil mattifying moisturizer”. I clean my fave with a cetaphil benzoyl peroxide cleanser afternoon (4pm) and night (10pm). I do not know why my acne is still present and doesn’t seem to be going away :(.

hey so from I’m reading you’re using 3 actives (salycilic acid, Bp, and adapalene) which can be very drying for the skin + washing your face more than 2 times a day can potentially strip your moisture barrier. If ur skin seems tight, inflamed, dull, or itchy maybe you should take a break from the actives and go see a dermatologist. good luck! x

Girly (used gender neutrally), you're using way too many actives, it's gonna destroy your skin barrier and cause more acne! Only use one of these preferably. More isn't better with this stuff, drying your skin more will actually cause more oil! Try using only one (after repairing your barrier for now), for quite a while and if you need more help try doing it without extra actives.

I would suggest start using vitamin c serum and maybe add in hyaluronic acid as well if you have the budget for it. Then pick a good moisturizer and a good sunscreen. Hope that helps

Never use this all over your face just do spot apply on pimple affected spot only first.. also don't keep it in your face more than 2 hours.. wash it off.. do it at night time.. always keep applying good moisturizer.. always apply good suncream in morning while going out..

@@fackyoutube8452 no, I use a gel which you leave on over night. But yes with a benzoyl peroxide cleanser you are right with rinsing it off after 2 to 3 minutes. Also I triple checked with my doctor and it says on the packaging that I have.

Iam 13 years and my doctor gave me Cordes BPO wit 5%, i have some acne/ pimples over my face and i use it every evening on the places where i have the most problems.I think that if i would put it all over my face my skin wouldn‘t get better and it would be a bit harsh, because my skin is still young. Well, I can only tell for my own experience, 2,5% and 5% doesn't work on my skin at all, I've been using a product with 5% for 3 months and I saw no results at all but I started using one with 10% for 5 days now and I can see some difference. So yeah, only 10% works on my skin, as long as your skin is not irritated, inflamed, itchy or any other weird side effect you'll probably be fine

i just started using benzoyl peroxide and simce i didnt know i boight the 10% one..... i just started using it today and it stings a little more than my previous acne gel. now i know why😢😢. anyone has recommendations on how should i reduce the pain or "dilute" the acne cream as i do not have enough money to buy another cream already edit: ok it does not sting after 2-3 days of using it. and it really helps alot! my pimple are mostly gone in just 5 days.

That's why you should start with 2.5 then 5 and then 10. Starting with 10 right away maybe too much for your skin to handle.

for the first week or two it really helped. You’d probably want to alternate them on different days, because using both will lost likely irritate your skin and make it very sensitised and peeling; and maybe painful ! Hope that helps

Yes thank you very much. I tried the 5% gel and it caused the first 2 weeks irritation but with lots of hydration it got better and the acne got better too. When I finish the gel I will start using the wash. Thank you😊

I broke out mid October 2023 not sure of the exact date but I have tried my best to clear my skin and I saw a video about this product and I’m going to get it tomorrow from the pharmacy I will do an update on it after a month or so!

Wait I bought the 3 set kit the cleaner daily moisturiser and the benzoyl peroxide 2.5%. It’s now been 2 days since I used it and when I woke up my skin was purging so Yk it’s a good sign but reading everyone’s comments makes me worry am I supposed to wash off the benzoyl peroxide?? Hi I bought 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel but I don't know how to use this! Should i use it with moisturizer all over my face or only acne affected area??

@@kaviyaramesh5217 for me I use the peroxide cream on my cheeks and forehead bc that’s where my acne and pimples mostly come out i put it all over those areas and I’ve seen a BIGGGGG improvement in 3 weeks. So To me it really depends on the person if you have only curtain areas then put it there and for the moisturiser yes put it after you do the peroxide bc it can make your skin dry and dull

Please don't. That would destroy you skin especially if you have pimples. You can use salicylic acid with sunscreen in morning but benzoyl peroxide can only be used at night and please lock it with a moisturizer otherwise it can strip your skin.

@@punyajain4068you do know that salicylic acid serum is for the evening right even the bottle lets you know that n if you want to use salicylic acid its has to be in a face wash form and you can't use it when you use benzoyl peroxide ans if you use benzoyl peroxide you have to add moisture back into your skin .plz don't give wrong information to people also go see a dermatologist n the only serum a dermatologist would recommend in the morning is vitamin c or a moisturizer containing nicotinamide.

It could be dryness, sensitivity or allergic reaction. Stop using it for a while, try again and if it really doesn't work, consider going to a dermatologist!

Yea it does I have used it and it works really well But use it only as a spot treatment it will dry out your pimple very quickly and will not leave any scare

I hope you read the directions cause it specifically says not to use around mouth area so you should really be careful with that, also in the box it says its common for irritation to happen because its quite a drying cleanser, if you are still using it, i highly recommend you use a good moisturizer if you’re not already.

Eat flaxseed or out flaxseed in your drink, the nest day your skin will not be inflamed as much. It works like a charm.

That’s because your skin is purging, it’s normal to see breakouts after using a benzoyl peroxide product but after continued use it will improve your skin. Only stop using it if it causes burning or itching

I used 5% at first but it wasn’t really effective so instead I used 10% and that really worked for me. Also idk what you mean by making the skin more sensitive to the sun cuz I’ve never ever gotten a sunburn and I rarely ever use sunscreen (cuz I’m too lazy tbh)
