There has been a refresh to the Jeep Wrangler JL that was originally introduced in 2018 and this 2024 model has several updates. But are they the updates buyers wanted and will they make the Jeep a better daily driver and off-roader? In this video I share my thoughts about the new updates.

The safety improvements and changes to the Willys package are great and kept me from buying a 23, however Jeeps prices are quickly becoming unrealistic.

You definitely aren't wrong about the pricing but they also hold their value tremendously well compared to other vehicles. If you factory order from select dealers you can get one for almost 13% under MSRP. With how well they hold their value and utilizing said deals, total cost of ownership if selling with sub 80k miles is actually quite good. WAY better than literally almost any other vehicle made.

Way way way over priced, My son back in oct, bought a 2019 Rubicon with a blown motor, he has been building, since, went 6.2L LS3 route, hes taking it apart to send off to get repainted! Built outrageously, and still cheaper then even lower model jeeps off the dealer lot...

Jeep pricing became unrealistic as soon as the JL came out. a 2 door sport base model JK in 2018 could be had for under $24,000. a 2 door sport base model JL in 2018 started over $30,000

The issue is most Bronco owners have this idea that theirs are better lol. It takes decades to actually find out the reliability, quality and longevity. Jeep has been experiencing the world since 1941 with a lot of failures and success. Best all season vehicle, all around vehicle especially with the 392. Still don't like the grille, the incomplete look of the dash with just one round AC vent on each sides and that after thought rectagular middle AC vents that are attached to the narrow looking head unit. Honestly the Alpine redesign look better and rugged. It is wider, but it still looks small with the inner screen on some applications. Additional safety is nice tho and towing capacity even tho nobody really buy a wranger with the mindset of towing a vehicle, get a 2500 or 3500 full size truck then lol. What's with the power seats, but yet no hood struts? But hey, we're stuck with all the changes....just need to get used to it. At least it still looks like a Wrangler. Thank you Bronco for making the Wrangler even more capable. With the 392, this is the Thanos of Wranglers. Nice video!

A review on Jeeps from an enthusiast/owner is so much better than an automotive journalist that reviews everything. Brad points out the improvements and if they are any good. For example, power seats in Wranglers. Brad understands why they didn’t have them before and appreciates the update.

As a three-time Jeep owner and enthusiast (95YJ, 98TJ, and now a 16JK), I would really like to see them offer a model with less plastic, technology, and creature comforts, and more of the original, raw, bare bones utility that the name was built on. Give us an I6, manual, with great off road capabilities (suspension, tires, winch), and stay true to the roots. Love the page and the content!

Great video Brad! I would like more comfortable seats (padding-wise) and as a taller driver, I would like for the front driver seat to go back further so I can get a more comfortable driving position. The one button that does all windows up/down would be a cool feature or the one-touch up/down on all 4 switches.

I got stuck with a 2023 and would’ve waited had i known, but I’m not completely taken back by the changes that make me upset because the 2023 has all that I need, some of the refresh stuff is really just extra but not needed for most of us. I’m personally not going to change vehicles until the next generation comes out in 2027 or 2028 I’m guessing.

I see that they have taken the 3.6 liter V6 away as the standard engine in several of the Wrangler models and are pushing the I4 turbo. I believe that is a huge mistake. I know that I'm not the only guy that is very concerned about the reliability and reduced longevity of a 4-cylinder turbo engine.

Dana 60s on a Jeep wrangler from the factory is very unrealistic. Will be too heavy and cost jeep too much money to do all their safety tests for these models to only have 2% of all sales. They wouldn’t make Jeep money

I think Stellantis, like other car manufacturers, has crazy expectations about prices of vehicles. Maybe there are some people that can spend $80K to take a jeep off road, but due to the declining quality of the vehicles, it will require $$ to maintain. My 2015 JKUR has been very reliable and I have only had to fix a death wobble and a couple of axle seals. My friends 2022 Wrangler (Rubicon) has had like 8 recalls and several other significant repairs. I understand it is great to try out a new Wrangler and smell that new car smell..... but I would expect the quality to be the same in the new ones. Oh... I added a steel bumper and winch on mine with an after market radio with Apply Car Play and Navigation...... :)

Jeep has become a luxury brand. The Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer are luxurious with their equipment but the whole brand is selling the image of go anywhere, do anything, you're in a tough Jeep. I can’t wait to get my 2024JL. I am concerned about the intent of being in the windshield. It will only drive costs up. As far as the gorilla glass. I’ve heard nothing but negative things about that. There are a few KZfaqrs in your close niche community that has That has tried gorilla glass. They claimed that they received their first chip pulling away from the dealer where they had it installed. I was going to get it on my JK. But after all the reviews I chose not to. Not only does it chip Just as quickly as any normal windshield would. Trying to get a replacement is reported to take quite a bit longer than a normal windshield. I hope to see reviews on the quality of the windshield on these new Jeeps.

Completely agree that putting both antennas in the windshield (Satellite, XM, AM/FM etc) is dumber than a bag of hammers. Trying to "clean up the exterior" by removing the standard radio antenna makes no sense for many Jeepers who're gonna add crap all over the outside of their rigs anyway. Most owners will eventually add "coms" (GMRS, HAM, CB, etc) to their rigs anyway, so the attempt to remove the stock radio antenna for aesthetic reasons seems misdirected. Also true that replacement windshields will both backordered and expensive, and 36k miles comes very quickly.

Power windows have been options on cars since the 1940's! How expensive can that option actually save? Side airbags have also been around for over 20 years. None of that is new technology and doesn't warrant a large price hike. Wranglers are great for people who actually use them for serious and *frequent* off-roading. That said, they are extremely flawed vehicles and simply a "lifestyle brand" for most buyers. I like this new front end if for no other reason than it serves a purpose--more air flow. That's a lesser change. What *isn't* minor is they way they have had to up their game with the release of the Bronco and other competitors--the optional V8, (slightly) more comfortable seats, and better interiors. Finally, the availability of a factory winch from any manufacturer is WAY overdue. With things like active cruise control, lane/anti-collision warnings or braking, and forward cameras, it has been inexcusable for manufacturers of off-road vehicles not to be compatible with heavy duty bumpers and winches.

I think the price is getting out of hand, and many enthusiasts either can't afford it or take a massive financial risk on a new Jeep. I understand the need for new safety features. which someone has to pay for.
