I love Dillinger but i think it's fucking rad that they're going out on top like this. I'm already satisfied with The black queen and (fingers crossed) some more Killer be killed

As much as I miss DEP, I respect their decision, especially that what Greg said makes total sense. Waiting for his album now :)

This is good, some bands (and artists, filmmakers etc) dont know when to end on a high note. A mature and thought out decision

Very mature and smart. I hope Greg, Ben, et al have great post DEP music like one shining star of FNM did :-)

fair enough, the EPs and Albums created by the various line-ups of TDEP speak for themselves and are a catalogue which most band's could not even dream of creating. Intrigued with what Ben will release post-TDEP as he is such a creative, talented mudderfucker and extremely adept with the ins and outs of studio work

I don't want to see Johnny Depp trying to pull off his Jack Sparrow character as a 80 year old man

It might feel correct to you, Greg, and it might feel to all the rest of us like we understand your decision and where you're coming from... but I'm just so unhappy about it right now...

I’ve started listening to a lot of DEP records front to back, getting an appreciation for them more than I did, or ppl who just think theyre “crazy music”, I think they can all become insanely successful in music esp now that gregs doing solo stuff, I love it, at least it wasnt a bad breakup like some bands

I'm very glad to hear this because you get so many bands that just churn Shit out. It's like another fast and furious movie! Good move to be honest hopefully they don't get back together and we can all just remember them for being a great band rather than a band that died a slow and painful death.

Kudos for them making the decision but I do think it's much easier for a band like this to make this decision vs a lot of other bands. What I mean is while being in Dillinger is a safety net it's not like these guys are raking in boat loads of money being in Dillinger. It's not like the guys in Metallica making a decision to stop the band back in the 90s when they were millions of dollars. I'd also say Dillinger isn't something that ages well. Lets face it...playing these songs into your 40's and 50's doesn't work. The music needs to be left to the youthful days and I'm glad they are stopping before the performances start to go down a lot. You can even notice the band isn't quite as aggressive as they were back in 2010 which is logically considering they are in their late 30s.

Honestly? I feel like shit, right now. This reminds me Cobain more than anybody or anything. Fuck. Hope he doesn't think the same about his music career. This guy and Ben introduced me to a whole new world inside music.
