Very informative. May I just ask, is the "STEM extension straight to green card shortcut" still possible in 2020?

Yes -- as long as your green card backlog (based on country of birth) is less than 3 years (12 months OPT + 24 Month STEM OPT EXTENSION) . . . So generally, people born in India and Mainland China may not be able to take "the shortcut"

@@ArthurSerratelli I heard that if your case doesn't get approved you will never be able to enter the US again because of dual intention, is that true?

@@rhuansantos1653 Oh no. That is NOT true. If you are either (1) not selected in the lottery, or (2) selected but the case gets denied, you are NOT kept out of the USA forever in the future. Not even for a day.

Yes, you are a lawyer and this new process will reduce your revenues. the employer is the first screen . in todays world the computer system will work , like the one used for DV lottery , it works just fine

I hope it does work -- but remember the OBAMACARE Computer sign-up Disaster? That makes me nervous for the new H-1B Registration sign-up. The DV Lottery System does work, and I hope this new system works too. My revenue for our law firm is secondary. If we wanted to be rich, we'd sue medical doctors (we call the lawyers doing this "ambulance chasers"). This really is not about the money -- the money will come one way or another. This new lottery system could be a good thing if Trump creates A FASTER SYSTEM to let students know they won the lottery . . . It will be BETTER for the students -- a "winner" can file an application for H-1B; a lottery "loser" can start making other work visa plans asap.

Art, is it possible to meet the criteria if I have a college degree (2.5 years) and 4 years of related strong work experience? thank you!

Not anymore. 20 years ago, yes, if you had 2.5 years of college + 4.5 years of work. IN THE OLD DAY, 3 years of work counted as 1 year of college (so 4.5 years of work = 1.5 years of college) . . . But those days are GONE . . .

Nice video, but you're mostly repeating 'what if the system crashes' and I'd rather the system crash (which it probably wont even) when I've only spent $10 than have to spend a whole $5000 for nothing, which I'd say is more likely to happen🙈 I do still want to send you an email though to see what you would advise me for my situation🙂

Sir I have one question regarding this H-1B visa ... I have completed master degree of 1.5 years from Denmark and now I am in Nepal ... I have no any specific work experience... .. should I need work experience also to apply this form ??

Most likely, it won’t crash. ;) FB, Amazon, Instagram, etc process megabytes of uploads every second worldwide. But of course, we do not know the IT infrastructure the government’s IT provider has set up for this new H1B lottery system.

America -- once it gets its act together -- is a powerhouse. Sadly, Obamacare crashed, we let Peal Harbor sneak up on us, and i both cases, Uncle Same got caught with us pants down . . . Thank you. Your videos are informative. However I would like to add here that this new proposal of online H1B filing was first proposed by Department Homeland Security (DHS) to reduce the paperwork and process each application efficiently, faster and on time. This online filing ideas were there in talk before Year 2016 when President Trump was elected. So I am not following if it was truly proposed by President. These are process improvement initiative and President is not involved or do not care about government agencies at this level. Nor I am following if this idea was initiated because attorneys were paid while applicant is still waiting for lottery.
