Theory:Maybe since he had Alberto he hid him from his wife and the other woman thought it was his problem.When his wife didn’t know about the child he would go and visit him.When his wife found out she divorced him and Massimo thought it was Albertos fault and that’s why he left him and was not excepting him at the first part of when Alberto and Luca went to there house.Hope you like my theory correct me with any ideas and or facts.

Don’t you think Alberto would have remembered Massimo when he saw him if he truly was his father?.Alberto’s real father probably met a human woman,fell in love and maybe started another family but couldn’t reveal his true identity to his family. He would probably visit Alberto every now and then till he finally couldn’t and just stopped altogether when he saw that Alberto could manage to be on his own.

Alberto's father hasn't been gone so long that he wouldn't recognize his old man when he saw him again. If Massimo was his father he would have said something.

Alberto's father is not Massimo. It is made clear that his father is a deadbeat coward who abandoned him. His father was also not human. Nor was his mother. It is a far stretch to think the two species could interbreed. As for the arm, Massimo was born with only one arm. "That is how I came into the world." Massimo is not a mysterious man. He is a simple one in the most wholesome sense. His wife and he wanted different things in life, and separated to preserve their friendship and are both amazing parents to Giulia. He not only would not be unfaithful to his then wife (Maria?), I doubt he is interested in taking up with anyone else. I personally don't want the story to try to get involved with Alberto's parents. Likely his mom was lost when he was very young and Bruno abandoned him when he was around 10 or 11. Alberto's parent is Massimo. His sister is Giulia. His soul mate is Luca. That's where the story should go.

WAIT. WHAT if…. What if the lulina kid is the man you think is abarto’s father? It would explain why he has two arms in that movie and in Luca one. And then he touches the moon and later when one arms is raising Alberto when he is young is that he remembers his child hood and gives a latter for Alberto to climb. Alberto goes through his imagination and thinks he touches the scaly moon. This would explain why Julia is in touch with space, because in her father’s young age he has a life connected to the moon. And it would explain why when Alberto is in a tower and had a latter to climb. ALSO one arms might have kept the hat when he was a child and given it to Alberto. I think this would make more since, and mostly because you think that he was keeping quiet about a sea monster getting his arm. I was kind of unsure of that. Everyone, listen up please. I just came up with a theory no one else has come up with about massimos arm. I think I know what happened to it. I’ve been thinking lately an looking for clues. Digging deep into stuff evolving around Albert trying to learn more about his past so I can piece together the dots, and find out if his father is Bruno, or massimo. And to do this, I looked into their last names. Naturally, their last names would reflect them somehow. Lucas last name is paguro which means “hermit crab” 🦀 which is a metaphor of him coming out of his shell. Albertos last name is “scorfano” which translates to scorpion 🦂 fish 🐟. So naturally, I did a little bit of research 🧐 and apparently scorpion fishes are very dangerous. They can sting you, and cause severe damage. In la Luna massimo has 2 arms, now he has 1. I don’t think that’s how he “came into the world”. My theory: massimo got stung in the arm by a scorpion fish. It could’ve been a scorpion related fish who is his mother, which is most likely because albertos last name is scorfano. And the sting was so bad, he had to stop it before it got to the rest of his body. There was no other way. He had to kiss his arm goodbye, and get it taken off. Cuz if he didn’t, the results could’ve been so much worse. That’s what I got.

Ok this probably sounds crazy but I think Alberto had a twin brother called Bruno who had blue eyes. Bruno was very bossy so whenever he told Alberto what to do he would go silence Bruno. Bruno was Massimos favourite child and often took him on boat rides with his grandfather. Unfortunately Bruno died in an accident which mamissimo lost his arm in. When he went to see Alberto it was to painfull so he abandoned him in the tower

I watched Luca yesterday and I saw Alberto’s father and mother

In my opinion Albertos mother was a sea monster and because she was mad at Albertos father she took his arm thats why Alvbertos father looks like he hates a specific sea monster that looks like a girl we see that 2 or maybe even more times.

That must also mean Julio and Alberto might be sister and brother and that it also explains how Alberto said “his dad‘s not around a lot”

My own personal theory on the universe is that things like fairy's, elves, mermaids, sea monsters, dragons, things like that actually DO exist. Just in a different galaxy and or planet. I mean, I have no scientific reasoning behind this conclusion but it's not impossible. There's so much in this universe beyond our reach so things we think are myths might actually exist somewhere far away! But idk, thats just a personal theory I have.
