I remember watching the Fender Bender 500 back in the 90s when I was very young as I love seeing the characters from Hanna Barbera face each other in the race with Dick Dastary and Muttley still cheating just in Wacky Race. I really wished this series is finally released onto complete DVD at last because it deserved it.

Fact: The announcer in the Fender Bender 500 is Shadoe Stevens from the 90s revival of Hollywood Squares.

The FENDER BENDER 500 should've been a full length cartoon series.

Although this cartoon series is only about five minutes long it beats any cartoon that's on television today.

Even though I do like this video a lot, the reason I came here is because after reading about Dick Dastardly, I saw what year this came out, so I decided to search this up and since Paul Winchell was much older here than when he was when he did Wacky Races, I was curious as to how Dastardly sounded. I am always curious to see how a cartoon character sounds when their VA reaches old age. Now that I watched, I must say that he(Dastardly) sounds more like Gargamel in this.

Since I've watched almost all of the episodes, I've come to this conclusion that makes people predict who the winner will before the end of the episode. Just take a look at the episode list of the winners and the places they've won in, they've seem to have won those specific races due to the personalities & quirks that fit the scenario. *Yogi & Boo-Boo won in races where the biggest theme is food *Huck & Snag won in races where music & theaters originated from. *Wally & Magilla won races are take place Southern states areas (where Wally's ancestors & roots are). *Top Cat & Chooch won in races that all reflect the schemes they've been through & their connection to "The Phil Silverman Show" (especially the military episode). *Quickdraw & Baba Looey mostly win in heavy rural places, are connected to Mexico (where Baba is from), or where horses & donkeys are used in the most. *The Doggies win in bases that involves their canine instincts (like digging holes or pulling sleds) *Winsome Witch won races where witchcraft, magic, and luck is best/infamously known for. *Pixie & Dixie won in places that has the best cheeses (Philadelphia, Germany, etc.) *Dick Dastardly won the Russian race because he has Russian ancestry.

This was Paul Winchell's last voice appearance in cartoons. I wonder why he stopped doing the voice of Dick Dastardly in 1991. I wonder why he stopped doing cartoon voices period? He lived another 14 years.

This race was definitely Quick Draw McGraw and Baba Louie's since they're both Texans. I wonder where the others are from. Maybe Wally Gator is from Florida and Huck is from Tennessee.
