With the suspension you could unstrap the tires and lift them up and out to the side and possibly remove the bike.

NOTE* a Grizzly = 108 lbs and this rack is 140 lbs max... (2 - 70 lb ebikes)
@RandyRides Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your concern. It did perfectly fine on the back. No issues. I’ll make sure I get you some video the next time I take it out. 😉

@@RandyRides, I merely note that the rack is 140 lb rated and the Grizzly is only 108 lbs. No forseeable problem there... second bike rack still has 32 lbs capacity!

@@johnw65remove the battery and you might be able to put 2 grizzlies.

@@Mretinum I'll stick with my folders thanks. I can put 2 of them in my hatchback while towing my camper.

I have the Thule EZ Fold XT. I am pretty happy with it. I got it on sale and got the fat tire Straps and the longer ramp. Well worth the price. that the Wheels are a lifesaver.

I looked at it. I really liked the specs of the Hollywood Rack more. Lower cost, comes with everything, no extra costs, lighter, holds more weight, 11 inch distance between bikes… but the wheels are pretty nice, I’m sure. I am mostly going to leave it attached to my car though, then I don’t have to store it anywhere. So that didn’t appeal to me much. That was the other contender though. Thule makes great products. I have their rails for a roof rack on my car.

@@RandyRides for me it was the availability that made the final decision. I think when we were looking at the Hollywood rec last year there was like a six or eight week delay in shipping. The Thule we could get locally and the next day.

Great video Randy with all the features it has by showing all of us. One question I have after watching with the two locking arms as one is short and the other is long for the second bike. Could those be removed if someone attempted too try? Since the locking clamps cant be loosen too remove of course as they are locked. If they can take the two arms off if they are just attached with normal hardware that would be my only concern. Thanks for what you do for the group!!

Great video very informative, especially for model 3 people, I just checked the price through your link and it says 999.00 for the rack?

I am very happy with the rack I have now but I know that I will eventually not be able to lift up my ebikes and will switch to a rack like this with a ramp.

does it drop down with both bikes on it, so you can open up the back hatch? I have a 4 runner.

Just bought one yesterday and assembled it question: why do they have the removable and extra non removable outside bike grabber? Any benefit for take the outside grabber of and adding the non removable one? Sometimes I may just load one bike is there some issue I’m missing (probably missing something)
@RandyRides4 ай бұрын
I'll give you an example, and hopefully it makes sense. For someone like me, that has to load a variety of different ebikes on the rack, I need to move the grabber on a regular basis. The adjustable one is ideal for me. If you are only loading the two same bikes on a regular basis, then the fixed grabber is better for you, cause then you won't have to worry about it sliding at all.

I'm from NYC, is there a store nearby where I can get on that AR Grizzly and see if it fits me comfortably; I'm only 5'5" tall?
@RandyRides Жыл бұрын
I believe there is a dealership in NYC actually. You’ll have to reach out to AR for assistance on that. They should be able to locate it for you.
