🎣🚙 "Deflating Tires and Inflating Laughter: Fishing, Fun, and a Whole Lot of Crocs!"
In this cracker of an episode, we embark on an adventure that's part tire-deflation therapy, part culinary escapade, and 100% wild! Join us as we journey to a remote beach near Weipa in far north Queensland, setting up camp along the majestic Pennyfather River - a place so cool, even the fish wear sunglasses.
Discover why this hidden gem turned out to be the ultimate free campsite, where the fishing is so intense, it's practically a full-body workout. Our little boat becomes a hero vessel, bravely hauling in not just fish but an assortment of creatures straight out of Mother Nature's imagination. Spoiler alert: some of these critters are vying for their own Netflix special.
As we bask in the calm waters and navigate epic fishing grounds, we encounter more crocs than a reptile enthusiast's dream. It's a croc-tastic spectacle that makes us wonder if we accidentally stumbled onto the set of a wildlife documentary.
Of course, not everything goes according to plan. Join us for a chuckle as we face a few mishaps - because what's an adventure without a blooper reel? From untangling fishing lines to trying to navigate soft sand, we've got it all. It's a comedy of errors that'll have you grateful you're watching from the comfort of your screen.
And because no camping trip is complete without a culinary masterpiece, we'll also teach you the art of cooking an apple crumble in a camp oven. Spoiler alert #2: it involves more laughter than actual culinary finesse.
So buckle up for a wild ride filled with fishing frenzy, crocodile encounters, and the kind of hilarity that can only come from a camping trip gone slightly bonkers. Subscribe, like, and get ready to LOL - this episode is a cracker in every sense of the word! 🎣🏕️😂

48 years ago, Pennefather was a secret place the locals kept to ourselves. Mostly spotless, no flies, turtles nesting and masses of wild orchids. Times change it seems. Kind of glad I can't travel anymore. I feel I would be disappointed if I went back now. Glad you enjoyed it and nice to see the fishing and big lizard aspect hasn't changed. The lizards do seem a little smaller than I remember. Guessing the old bull that used to hang around isn't around anymore.

Thanks for your comment MsZumbah. Yes, unfortunately time are changing and you are not the only one seeing the difference. The affordability and popularity of 4wd equipment combined with more road access, internet and population gets a lot of once secret spots not only over crowded but in many cases closed down. It's great to see young kids doing what we used to do but I guess there is a flip side to everything. Over the years of travelling I found out that the hardest places to get to are still unspoiled. Unfortunately this means to do it on foot or through neck breaking tracks. Sad to hear you can't travel anymore and hope our videos bring back some fond memories of your own adventures.

@@wildworldadventures Thanks for replying! I clicked on a Weipa video that randomly popped up on my feed a couple of weeks ago, thinking,,gee..wonder how my old home town was looking now. Want to guess how many are on my feed now? Lol! And yes, they are bringing back fond memories! Tourists in their shiny 4wd's on an adventure to the tip of the Cape. Towing them out of creeks, warning them not to camp on the edge of the river, watching them hang their towels on the "No swimming, Crocs" signs while they went to cool off, telling them it's not cool to dig up turtle eggs to photograph them, and that nest of eggs up the river is NOT turtle eggs or bird eggs and they should avoid that area...all while getting the "Don't tell me how to have my holiday" look. Good times! Glad I don't live there anymore though. I do regularly miss the fishing! Nothing beats fresh fish, muddie and prawns! Oh and that shark? No idea of it's scientific name..we just called them lure destroyers or bait munchers. In the same basket as catfish and worm infested Trevally (trash) 😁

Great episode! Guess you mean Indonesia not Malaysia - the language (and thus the wording on the labels) is basically the same (you did mention Indo once but mostly Malaysia). What psi were your running and what would you recommend?

Hi and thanks for your comment, you are right. I meant Indonesia! The heat of the day 😂 I would recommend going down to 13 PSI if you can. However keep your load in mind. I usually go to 18 on sand and then drop to 13 psi if I get bogged. I have seen a guy taking it down to 10 psi but his tire came off after taking a sharp turn. glad you enjoyed the episode
