This is my old new aesthetic i never knew it existed but now i know. Wish to find more people who appreciate how things used to be in the 90s and 2000s. Nowadays everything seems dull. But i do believe with the power of our own perception we can change that. The world we view is the world we live in. So hope is left! 🎉❤

@@pappico You do realise that Windows96 is a vaporwave artist and is yet one of the staples in both Frutiger Aero and dreamcore/weirdcore. Also, Windows96 were the pioneers of their sound, it's hardly generic.

I would agree some of the songs in this playlist sound more like vaporwave than Frutiger Aero, but there is enough of an overlap for me to accept it. For example, James Ferraro's Far Side Virtual (the song Adventures in Green Foot printing on this playlist) was considered "vaporwave" when it first came out, but I feel now that Frutiger Aero is an established genre/aesthetic, the album actually fits better in that category than in vaporwave. Slowed, bass heavy songs don't work as well for Frutiger Aero, I think a brighter and more upbeat sound is more fitting. Calm or slow songs can work just fine but taking old songs and slowing them or adding reverb does not create a frutiger aero sound. I would say the songs on this playlist that I would consider solidly Frutiger Aero are: 0:00 2:51 3:50 13:18 26:10 (Probably THE most frutiger aero sounding song on this playlist IMO) 35:24 46:12 48:03 52:19 There's a lot of synthwave, drum and bass, lofi, and vaporwave songs, but there is a lot of overlap on those genres and I don't think there's an abundance of "fruitger aero" music to pick from that hasn't been done already in another playlist. It would definitely nice to have artists dedicated to this style of music.

@@rattuna4773 When I said Vaporwave I was referring to the genre. For example: Windows96 (Gavriel) is a vaporwave artist. Specifically Windows96 falls under a vaporwave subgenre called Utopian virtual. The expectation of vaporwave is that it's slowed, chopped up 80's music. That is not the case with a lot of the vaporwave subgenres. Frutiger Aero is an aesthetic and not a genre which means that different genres of music can fall into it. The vaporwave artists here are Windows96, FM Skyline, CocaineJesus, Bloodwave and James Ferraro (one of the founding artists of Utopian virtual). There's also Admo and Amdo is a chillwave artist, the album that the song at 10:51 comes from moves away from chillwave but is still heavily influenced by the style, mixing acoustic guitar with the typical chillwave synth in it. I wouldn't say that any genre specifically fits exclusively in any aesthetic, heck even songs from the vaporwave genre don't match the aesthetic simply because the genre and the aesthetic are different. That said, it also depends on how the listener feels about the aesthetic and the song. No two people will feel exactly the same about a song. For example, while I agree with all the songs you've mentioned, I'd also include the song at 42:03 because it feels like it fits the aesthetic as well. Overall, I think NightDrive Prophecy did a great job on this one.

Mid 2000s thru early 2010s were a terrible time, culminating on 2016 when the internet as we knew it ended. Other than the sheer novelty or by coincidence (you happen to be a kid at that time), I find it extremely surprising that anyone could be nostalgic for that time period.

The end on the internet was when adobe killed the internet back a couple years ago. Active x controls and adobe flash and java. They were seen as backdoors so they were killed off. And then all internet gaming died. There are sites like crazygames and even many on xgenstudios still work. Even on phones 📱 📲 there were new games being made every day for free back then. 2002-2008. Literally every type of entertainment was thriving. Now they're all dead or declining. And its not because of emulation. I still have physical copys of games i emulate. Its just convenient. The only problem is when i switch to a new phone, phones aren't getting bigger anymore so you have to start over again. Blank slate. I fill up phones because it used to not matter. The new model phones used to double the storage every 2 years when i got a new phone. We have the technology. They just keep finding ways to charge more for less. Everyones adopted subscriptions. Its free money to the companies and then your locked in to something you dont use and it costs way mkre for less product. Its amazing how easy innovation can be stopped so easily and quickly!!!! This is not america any more! Its venisuala!!! Socialist demon worship!!!!
