Totally agree, the cheapest and best way to make your car faster is to get a better driver in it. The best bit is that you can sell the car and the next car will already be faster without spending money on it. One thing I would like to add is that apart from driving on track days, get some good instruction as well. I have learned so much more and faster from having an instructor tell me what to do and not do, based on my driving then and there. Whether it is someone sitting next to you or someone explaining theory to you beforehand or afterwards looking at video and telemetrics, it all helps.

Williams F1 were sponsored by “Mirage Granito” in the late Nineties and tiled the garage as part of their sponsorship deal. It still looks great even after so long, but it’s massively slippery when it gets wet - I had a massive shunt on a pit scooter and threw it across the garage….

Nice bit of on location content girls . Exactly what your channel would benefit from . Agree with the MX5 for a cheap budget starter . There’s loads of affordable one make series stuff for sale and always pick something quite popular for the surplus of used spares / tech tips and resale value. Personally my choice is the E36-46 M3 or 328/330Ci as they’re easy to make handle well and relatively cheap 15-20k should buy something tidy . 25k plus for anything with some nice goody bits / setup and a proper gearbox . One last thing, I agree with plenty of time in the seat , best getting someone sat at the side of you first and set the car up too . You will learn more with 3-4 race lessons than a years worth of 20 min race weekends with a crappy setup winging it on your own . Plus less chance of bending your pride and joy . Mosler ❤❤❤❤❤😃

Did lots of trackdays back in the day with lotus Elise & Exige £20k or less cars..just as much fun as expensive stuff

I Agree. Best Bang for Buck Track day weapon is a VX220 Elise. Lightweight so Tyres and Brakes last longer and fabulous handling.

Cool to hear your ideas regarding track setup for r8’s cfr yesterday’s email. How would you say gt4’s get enough temp in the rear slicks? With the tune down, probably not from power. Toe-in at the back you said? The Audi sport 3way coilovers can take the extra load, yeah? Cheers

I work for a track day company and best advice for most super car owners if their thinking of doing trackdays at most UK tracks IS BUY A HONDA OR CATERHAM 😂 as all you see bless em is been harassed every lap by em , 👍

It’s a shame they’ve moved away from their usual track days, it’s now unaffordable for most normal people to get out on track there. And they’re being greedy with their prices too!
