I just stocked up my socks for the year! My favs are Nike. Adidas seem to fall apart for me. I’ve seen so many ads for Bombas lately. Wonder if they are actually good or just good marketing. It’s funny, in Canada, the go to sock look is ankle socks. In Cali, it’s all about the calf socks. I actually prefer the calf ones. Never heard of good toes before. I’ll check them out! I like that you actually tried and tested these socks to see how they held up. Kirkland seems like the overall best value since the price is so good. Keep the content coming dude!

This was a VERY thorough & interesting review! I have mostly Nike socks to date, but I noticed something similar in how they feel & how fast they break down. Many of my Nike socks have holes starting to form in them already. Definitely going to buy some gold toe socks after seeing this review!!! Thanks Dang!

I'm not gonna lie...I only buy the Nike socks to match with my shoes/fit and those are the only crew socks I own 😂😂 I definitely am brand loyal to the Swoosh but agreed that they could be better. I've never tried Kirkland or Goldtoe socks before but they sound promising -- I don't know if I can part with my Nikes just yet though lol. Great review but would love to see another battle would Nike Elite socks and Stance!

I bought some Kirkland socks recently and found that were slightly too thick for my preference and caused my feet to sweat more due to the thickness. I really wanted to like them, great price and appeared to be great quality.

Very good review! I haven’t wore white socks in a while. Mainly wear all black ones or funny ones I got for xmas lol. Love Kirkland though lol. I hate ankle socks though thats one thing I can’t do.

Interesting to see someone going so in depth with socks! I see you and RAISE you this comment lol. I've been using Adidas socks for a couple years now and i cant use any others. One preference i have is i get very sweaty feet, so thicker and higher quality socks are actually a negative for my weird feet! Adidas still at the top of my list, only black or grey though! I'm sure if i ever got white socks, they would be NASTY! hahaha great job dude, loving the voice over vibes here!

it was quite funny to see someone go so in depth about socks, lol. at the moment, i like to wear these white adidas socks that look and feel just like a kirkland, just replace the red line with a black one. i have really tight feet, (causing them to smell) and those sort of, kinda, not really, help that issue.

Depending on the fabric of your adidas socks, you might need something with even more ventilation to address your sweaty feet condition. I will say that the Kirklands are probably way thicker than the adidas ones tho haha. Thanks for watching and for the comment !

I have always loved the Nike White crew but I have not been as happy with them since they changed the ribbing style and texture in the latest design. I try to match my sock brand with the sneaker choice for the day. I love the Adidas socks but they run slightly smaller than the other brands and do not have a lot of extra fabric from the ankle to the middle of leg. I love Gold Toes the best and have them in plain white and white with assorted two colored stripes at the top. I also like Stance socks as well.

Kirkland socks have been my favorite crew sock so far. Hanes seem to loose their texture after a few washes so far Kirkland has hold up well. 🧦

Nike socks used to be better quality like 5 years ago less polyester like a lot thicker too they would come in bags I thought I was buying those on footlocker but they ended being I think like the ones u got completely different idk if they still sell the ones in bags in outlets or Ross bc I couldn’t find them online I mean are they discontinued bc these dry fit ones are trash

I'm about to try Goodfellow socks from target tomorrow. I like thier shirt and shorts. New balance socks seem to stay the tightest on my calf over time. Some sock brands I have to throw away after 3 washes

Kirkland socks are the best for me,I wear them everyday for work with steel cap boots and also very comfortable with red wing heritage boots.I guess all the comfort the padding offers when wearing boots helps.

I have tried both the Kirkland and Gold Toe. The Kirkland is way too thick for southern California wear, because they are just too warm. Also, it has a high cotton content which is not good for athletic wear. The Gold Toe are the right thickness and are quite comfortable. I wear a size 11 1/2 to 12 and found the Gold Toe plenty big and will likely fit a size 13 foot, too. The Gold Toe crew socks are made of polyester and I typically wear acrylic socks for the wicking benefit, but acrylic socks are getting hard to find. Dryons brand socks are made of acrylic and reviewers report they are just the same as the Russell Athletic socks which Costco sold in the past. However, the Dryons come in a pack of 12-pairs for $42. That may be a fair price per sock, but it is a hefty buy-in just to try them out. Perhaps you can include Dryons in your next sock review!

Yes, I agree with all of your points here. Moisture wicking properties are very important to consider, not just for comfort, but also for those who may have certain foot-related conditions. Gold toes are definitely my favorite so far. I’ve actually never heard of dryons socks, so I’ll definitely look into them ! Thank you so much for the insightful comment🙏

My buddy just told me about goldtoes. I bought a pack and these are the only socks I'm ever gonna buy. I got the hiker socks and omg they are so comfortable and worth the money. They had an 8 pack of Hanes for the same price as the goldtoes so they weren't anymore expensive.

Gold toes are definitely the best for me. Especially in the colder part of the year. The majority of my socks are gold toes and the rest are nike. I like nike too and they’re thinner and a bit better in hot weather. Though they seem to wear down faster than my gold toes. They’re equally comfortable but I think gold toes are better for sweat and not getting wet. They’re just better at keeping my feet warm and dry at the same time. So overall gold toe wins for me.

Some of the newer Nike Dri-fit socks have been made better and more comfortable, especially if you got the “Everyday Dri-Fit” Nike socks. Hopefully the gold toes don’t disappoint you 🙏

I only wear gold toe, for athletic to dress. Always have, my dad wore em and I grew up wearing em. I do wear another brand every now and then but 85% of my socks are gold toe.

Nice job, great video ! Quick question they all start off snow white ( The look you want ) but they end up in... let's just say various shades of non white. What were if any the differences in washing? Shrinkage also seemed dramatic and would it be cool to see if the fit remained the same after use. In the end I believe you were spot on with Nike pulling up the rear, they are living off their brand not quality

An update from this video - Kirkland socks seem to shrink more long term, but because they’re thick, they held up better; gold toe doesn’t shrink as much, but after about 3 years, some pairs finally eventually develop holes. I like gold toe comfort for that reason of having less shrinkage and more thin/breathability. Thank you so much for watching !

Yeah nike socks don't seem pretty great and I really enjoy nike as you can see from my IG. haha. I don't use crew socks because they seem to cut into my calves. I would love this video on ankle socks. or the more performance inspired socks.

I wonder which ones dealt with foot odors the best. I bet his socks smell a bit after 1-2yrs of use, lol. surprising that the big name Nike/Adidas socks were lacking the most on the quality. They look the best but gold toes look pretty good on his feet too. I usually wear adidas quarter socks from Amazon and they seem to get holes pretty easily from normal daily wear and long walks. Bombas socks seem to be the best for me with no issues with wearing out quickly or with odor. Nice vid, great info and your feet look great in all of those socks. 😅

I want socks that are seamless as I have sensory issues and have always had to wear my socks inside out due to the seams hurting my toes, until I came across Bombas socks, do you know of any cheaper alternatives so I'm not having to pay $13/pair?

Yeah so my current gold toes are now starting to show real wear - I’d give the white gold toe socks a solid 2-3 year lifespan. I in fact did pick up some other gold toe socks since this video - the ‘signature gold’ collection. Can’t complain about them yet in terms of quality and style, but I’ll admit the textures/materials threw me off a little bit because they claimed to have used more recyclable materials, so potently better for the environment . Hope this helps !

Comments here stating Kirkland socks are too thick For me years of Costco Head socks discontinued now tried kirklands - thinner but a better feeling sock boots shoes high low tops and I think it's a perfect all around sock. I don't find them too warm or sweaty -I like the elasticity they wear well and it's bang for your buck Logo socks Adidas Nike I don't find lasting good quality just a sharp looking thin logo sock ....

I have feet issues where my feet get hott and break out ... for some reason the nike dry fit are the only ones that keep my feet from heating up and having issues. They dont feel the best but it keeps me from having breakouts where i itch and suffer for days . Mabe its in the material ? i wish i knew what it was.

Sounds like some form of dermatitis .. you might want to look into socks that are thin, have a lot more breathability , and hypoallergenic . You might also want to consider the breathability of your shoes and footwear too . Definitely should consult your doctor though… best of luck !

Damn I'm surprise the Nike and Adidas didn't hold up as well as the Kirklands. Those bad boys really are bang for your buck. We need some Kirkland sponsors out here. Costco makes everything man. I never used to like wearing white socks because I feel like they get so visibly dirty but over the years I've enjoyed the aesthetic with certain fits.

Years ago like around 12...gold toe you'd to be the best ever! Now they seem to be thinner. Overall I still think they're better than the others. I've worn them for at least 25 years....not the same pair. ha ha

For me it's nothing but dri fit unless I'm just walking around the house. Once you got dri fit everything else just doesn't really feel right lol. Even though I heard good things about the gold toe's but it would have to be the adidas for me.

I love when gray heels show above the backs of shoes. I purposely buy my white crews in XL/big and tall size, even though I’m only 5’10” and wear a size 8 wide shoe. I wear my socks knee-high, and I love the heels settling on the backs of my legs above the ankle. Especially if they are gray. Looks awesome.

It’s based off your shoe size. Most if not all brands usually go by S,M,L, XL socks . And each one covers a range of shoe sizes depending on the brand

Gold Toe, always. At least among these four brands. The Kirkland socks would be amazing if it weren’t for that ridiculous band of mesh that runs up the side of the feet. The Nike and Adidas socks are automatically terrible because of the ridiculous half cushioned feet and the terrible arch support bands. And it’s so great how this video is literally just a guy showing off the permanent footprint stains on the bottoms of his tall white socks, admitting that he keeps wearing them after he permanently stains the soles the first time. I love it!

I find my white Nike socks to be stained more. So I just go with black or anything not white for Nike socks.

Dude...Those Kirklands are the winner for me. reliable and affordable. DONE! Never paying retail for NIKE and ADIDAS. *Noted* thorough review here man. Maybe a comparison for ankle socks??

Love the adidas sock they stay soft where as the Nike socks for some reason feel disgusting after owning them for a while. They are thicker tho which I prefer

If you want larger sizes and want your feet amputated from lack of circulation, then Gold Toe is the sock for you. I need large sizes (15), BUT the leg part is way too tight. If the foot is bigger, then it is obvious the leg part should be also. Used to fit perfectly, now horrible fit.

sorry to hear that. I’ve had these gold toes for 2+ years and they still feel good and are holding up well for me. Granted, my shoe/foot size is only a 10, so perhaps the larger sizes don’t do as well. Nike socks will definitely feel even worse for you, as they’re the skinniest fitting in this group. So far I’ve only tried Stance and Uniqlo. They’re not bad 🤷‍♂️ I don’t wear them much though. They do the job. Stance has a very slight slippage at times, and Uniqlo runs pretty tight/snug. I might have to make this for a future video 🙂 thanks for stopping by!

I will never go back to non labeled left/right socks! Lol. Now and day, I'm super picky with my socks and don't mind paying a bit of a premium. The real issue is when all my left socks magically gets lost and all I have are my right socks. HAHA!

Kirklands are way too thick and hurt my toes. The used to have a thinner sock but they changed to this thicker style.
