I usually just use whatever router the ISP gives me with the broadband deal, although I change WiFi password straight away I also change the router admin password and disable WPS pin authentication.

Yes you can. That just acts as a wired connection and most of the time gets you better more consistent speeds

@@SavvyNik just one more question if I have another ruter and i use it as AP can it recrive automatic firmware updates or I must do it via USB and will it erase settings on AP big thanks

Heresy! You are using Windows 11! JK. One interesting thing about the routers is the hidden reset mode if you mess up the firmware. You set a TFTP server and send a firmware file to your router.

Nope, and typically I put my own router on anyway so I have control of settings. Sometimes ISPs will lock you out
