Bc it does seem a bit #Obsessed. In his diss record, he used all kinds of homophobic slurs, misogynistic talking points and made up lies. He even went as far as to paste together 106 and Park interview and passed them off as "voicemails". Although his diss record was technically far more sinister and brutal, she won bc it proved her point. This was dumb anyways. Eminem should've just been classy and moved on.

I think Mariah and Eminem started working together musically and feelings got involved on both sides. When the media found out, she wanted to protect her image so she denied everything. Eminem being the hothead that he is became angry due to hurt feelings and lies from Mariah whom he thought he could trust. He was clearly hurt which is why he wrote so many raps about her, but the fact that she went so far as to write a song denying things instead of letting things go tells me that she felt guilty and wanted to do damage control to make him seem crazy. Eminem may have a crazy side but Mariah is a diva meaning she upholds this image of being better than others and clearly a fling with a little white boy would hurt that image. Just my opinion.

Unpopular opinion: Eminem is probably telling some truth to their relationship. With how immature he is, I’m sure their situationship or whatever ended badly, and embarrassingly. She probably denied it entirely. But seriously, why would he go to such lengths, as a mega star himself, to keep saying it over and over. He didn’t falter at all, and he was unwavering with telling the world that they were together. This is a he said she said thing, and I think people believed Mariah because she’s more popular than Eminem and she dropped an icon diss track about him. It’s easy to believe that someone like her wouldn’t dare mess with someone like him. I mean if it was true, I’m sure her reputation would have been somewhat tarnished no lie. But I think that if someone is telling a bold faced lie about something, they would own up to it eventually. Eminem only apologized about how he spoke his truth. He never denied it. That says a lot.

Before watching the video: The only observation I can make is that Marshall and Mariah seem to have more in common than you would expect, having grown up in extremely dysfunctional families and also largely influenced by black music. Being solo artists who reached worldwide fame, in a time in which celebrity culture normalized believing that the public was entitled to mainstreams stars's privacy. Both had suffered bullying in school, had been trapped in toxic marriages for a long period of time, had grown up with addicts on their family, were known, recognized and praised as songwriters, etc. So, who knows, it is possible that what attracted them to each other was that possibility of finding some type of complicity or understanding, of having grown as the black sheep of their community and being "self-made" artists... And it is possible that instead of finding that empathy, they projected all their unresolved traumas into each other or unconsciously brought those unpleasant issues they wanted to avoid to the forefront of each other's minds... Maybe that's why they grew to have such obsessive aversion and repulsion and resentment towards each other presence, because they would see on each other what they didn't wanted to (or weren't ready to) confront.

That's the thing about Mariah she can either make a mega-produced hit or say a simple 4 words sentence and people are stil gonna be obsessed with it and remember it forever, by making Obsessed she had the last word on the feud with Eminem, he made like 30 songs about her afterwards and everything people are going to remember is that she called him obsessed once and he still hasn't be able to prove her wrong

At the end of the day Mariah's music is something you can listen to everyday and feel happy and hopeful about love. Em's music will have you hating your mother. Even if I wasn't a Mariah fan logically Em saying he slept w/Mariah doesn't even track with what we know about our girl. She has always vehemently been one to make a man wait, and wait, and wait.
