My 18 yr old grandson wanted strawberry jam. He made it and I supervised. We used the pomonas pectin. He did wonderful for the first time canning.

I prefer strawberry-banana over plain strawberry. Jell-o used to make strawberry-banana flavor, but I haven't seen it in quite a while around here. My grandmother used to cut up bananas in strawberry Jell-o before they came out with that flavor.

I used to love strawberry banana stuff. I used to love bananas till I realized I was allergic. But this is something surely my children will love and eat. They'll have to make it haha because mom cant touch it haha.

Hello dear lady, this is completely off topic but I've been thinking about you a lot today. I canned 12 pints of carrots and 7 jars of sauerkraut. I used my mandoline all day, and I'm telling you, I would have cut my fingers off and half of my hands if I was not wearing the amazing glove the you encouraged us to buy before using the mandoline. I was being (I thought) very careful but I knicked that glove several times. I hope you will keep reminding us to never, ever pull out that mondoline without that glove. Just wanted to remind you of another of the many, many things that you have taught all of us. You are truly the best!

I use the cut glove and put a nitrile or latex glove over when slicing and it works great when handling hot things like canning jars.

Love the strawberry banana combo, but I have to say I love Phil's reaction most of all. I do not think it will clear up much if at all due to the banana. Can't wait to try this one, just have to get the pomona pectin first.

Very smart to substitute sugar for the honey. Raw honey from a reliable source is expensive here and until it has been heated it has medical qualities. I’m told the medical benefits are destroyed by heat so I will definitely sub with sugar and keep raw honey for better uses. Strawberry/banana-yum!

As soon as you said, Strawberry🍓/Banana I WAS IN! As a child, I loved going to Morrisons Cafeteria (anyone remember that?). They had a strawberry/banana whole fruit mix in a strawberry glaze that was to die for! I'm going to try this and see if I get this same nostalgic feeling and taste ❤️! TFS 😘
