Nobody will be again world champ for 14 years in a row. This feat in athletics is almost impossible, only one man could do it and he´s the exception to this galactic succes, mr. Bubka.

I went 14’6 in HS. I loved this event. Bubka had no fear. Great video!!

I'm a great fan, I think he's a legend; but I have to admit that Duplantis has been becoming another pole veult's legend; even though Bubka was at 6,15 when Duplantis wasn't born yet.

I could care less about Mondo's record on equipment 30 years newer. Bubka will always be the greatest of all time. In fact; you look at side by side video and Bubka was almost a foot higher over the bar.

I was so excited when this video ended up being 6 minutes and 16 seconds long, but then I realized that was Lavillenie’s record. Bubka jumped 6.15 meters. Just one second off. The video is so good I can forgive that near miss at serendipity.
