'Hans cheats only when Hans is in the US' : How is Magnus making all these fake accounts to insinuate there's an American conspiracy? I ask the above because some pointed out Hans didn't do so well in U20 classical WCC but later did well in 2023 USCC. I posted the b()ds theory that Elon Musk shared ( see p1w4Rr-ut or 1Dx9Y2Q7NY4 ). The theory says BOTH Hans & Magnus used b()ds. Magnus 1st. Then Hans. I didn't create the b()ds theory. I just posted it. But I do have my own theory... ... We know Hans didn't cheat OTB vs Magnus or anyone. But nevertheless Magnus thought (still thinks?) Hans did. So hypothetically how could Hans cheat? I mean seriously like realistic methods of course. Don't think of things where Hans bypasses security. ( Consider this 'red truth' like in Higurashi/Umineko. Cf the zm0zts meme. ) 3 things . . . . . Thing 1 Magnus is discriminatory. Consider that Hans beat Shak & Magnus, lost to Fabi & Wesley So and drew w/ everyone else. Hans, Fabi, Wesley So, Chris Bird, Rex Sinquefield are all American. Shak & Magnus are not American. (I know Magnus implicitly accused Hans right after the loss and then Fabi & Wesley So came only after but at least Shak was before Magnus, but bear with me.) I'm not anti-American. I'm not saying there was an American conspiracy. I'm saying Magnus THINKS there was. And then Magnus can't explain the way Hans cheated because doing so would expose Magnus as discriminatory. Magnus is making essentially the same accusation as what Bobby did in the 1962 candidates. But Bobby doesn't need to be afraid to be thought of as discriminatory because everyone already knew that the Soviets were pre-arranging draws (and maybe even decisive games?). The Higurashi/Umineko solution ( again cf the zm0zts meme ) is that Hans doesn't bypass security but that Hans is colluding with security! . . . . . Thing 2 Magnus is defamatory. I read on chess stackexchange that moderator Brian Towers says there's a PRACTICAL not just a MORAL reason to not accuse publicly : The arbiter can watch for FUTURE games. If you accuse publicly, then the accused, if actually guilty, might stop future cheating and then you ruin your own sting operation before it actually begins (ruined ab initio?). Hence, Magnus is either defamatory or 'not the sharpest chopstick in the drawer'. . . . . . Thing 3 Magnus is defamatory and discriminatory. Why for the love of God would Hans cheat especially knowing the whole world is watching your every move given your history? Is Hans like Leopold & Loeb? Why would Chris Bird help Hans? More info : UFUHa27kiJc zs4zpf p1w4Rr-dd zm0zts --- P.S. Wesley So on Lex Fridman xcdhgq P.P.S. On Lichess, playing against Stockfish level 3-4 is easy to get in these positions but not easy for me to win every time. Check it out for yourself if you’re interested.
@GeraldM_inNC

Very reminiscent of my ongoing war against Fairy Stockfish. I use my pawns to lock up the position, seeing no way the engine can break the lock without sacrificing a full piece, but FS noodles around until it identifies some tiny crack that was imperceptible to me. Here too, I didn't see how Magnus could infiltrate without sacrificing a piece, and I was wondering why Agadmator was showing a drawn game. It reinforces that Magnus is the closest there is to an engine inside a human body.

It reminds me of a game I played in an OTB tournament. We had exchanged a pair of knights and there were long pawn chains with all pawns on the board. I was playing a higher rated player and offered a draw which with best play it probably was. Instead he sacrificed a pawn hoping for play and I snatched it and won in 117 moves.

Slightly off topic. Keymer is still very young and we all know he has not likely reached his peak yet. My question is his parents are both musicians so he grew up in a house with classical music. His parents taught him the game. I'd love to know his math proficiently as well. Because I believe chess is strongly influenced by both. A player I think we will need to keep an eye on for 3 or 4 more years. Oh and I believe he is also a musician.

For timed games in tournaments like this, if the person who plays black arrives late, can white wait before moving/starting the timer to be courteous? Also there is a signed book by Kasparov at the bookstore for $125; I can probably get it for $60-$75 since I work there. I'm tempted to get it cuz I know he's an all-time great.

Well it doesn't matter what Magnus wanted. It was a much better line to consider than moving the bishop to a dead square.

It had already been established that nothing was going to happen along the a8 h1 diagonal by that point. So why move your bishop to that diagonal and waste a tempo.

I failed both "pause the video" moments. I'm not at 2200 level as Antonio says. LOL I think they were like 2700 level moves?

It's like how a slow poison seeps through the tiniest pores unavoidably created by even the strongest immune responses, and then trickles down to eventually strike the heart! Poison: I am coming this way! Immune system: No, you are not! I have it covered. Poison: Have you really? Here's another path for me! I will enter it slowly. What can you do? Immune system: I will close that path also, while continuing to guard the main path. Poison: Will you? What about this third path? Immune system: I will take care of that also. Poison: Let's see.
