The incidents - characterized as “sonic attacks,” “microwave attacks” and the “Havana Syndrome” - led to the shuttering of the U.S. Embassy and opened the doors to a barrage of devastating sanctions imposed by Trump and maintained by Biden. Liz interviews scientists from both countries who dismantle the theory that U.S. personnel were attacked. She shows how major media outlets fanned the flames of hysteria and speaks with the Cuban families separated by the near total closure of U.S. consular services.

The anti government protests that took place in Cuba in July were very small and they were supported and financed by an American organization connected to the CIA called The National Endowment for Democracy, which is funded by the US taxpayers. In response to the very small protests against the government of Cuba the people in support of the government held a huge rally. The western media took pictures of this rally and showed them in America and lied and said that these were pictures of the anti government protests. The fact is that the vast majority of the Cuban people support their government and of course they all want the blockade ended because that will make their lives in Cuba that much better. The USA is the bully and the aggressor in this blockade against the Cuban government and against the Cuban people. Cuba is a sovereign nation and it has the right to determine it's own future without the interference from the US or any other country.

The Cuban people have been held hostage by the Castro government. The Cuban people have been very silent up until recent times. Because of fear of going to prison or executed if they protest. When I was in Cuba I got drunk and started to talk bad about the government and my cousins literally put their hands over my mouth so no one could hear what I was saying so I would get in trouble. So their is lots of fear among the people their. As to the embargo which is what is called not a blockade ( only the socialist government calls it a blockade ) what it does it makes it so American companies can’t do Business in Cuba. Cuba can and does do business with all other countries around the world. Know why would America lift the embargo? The castro’s stole American properties when they took over and didn’t give the owner a red nickel. Also only high ranking government officials live good in cuba. Everyone else is living a terrible life. That is why the people aren’t afraid anymore because some would rather die than live with any freedoms like expression and have good to eat at affordable prices. The way you sound and the response makes it seem like you are part of the Cuban government or you just haven’t talk to many Cubans from the island and are listening to the Castro regimes talking points. The world will see how many people from the island will protest on 11-15-21.

Just so you understand, the American people are not in control of the American government. This has been the case for quite along time. The president of the USA doesn't really run the country. He/She does the bidding of the 0.01% elite that own most everything in the world. This unseen cartel wants to dominate the entire world. Over the years there have been a certain few countries that have managed to resist the control of this evil cartel that uses the military might and the economic might of the USA to keep the rest of the world in line. Like I said there are a few countries that refuse to be controlled by this bully. These countries are China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Bolivia, Syria and others. As far as I'm concerned these are the true freedom fighters. They are fighting for their rights as sovereign nation to determine their own path and not have to surrender to the will of some imperial elite. My advice to you is to get on the right side of this struggle not only for your own personal material interest but more importantly for your own personal spiritual interest. Thank You

@@CarlosVazquez_301, the only failure is in the United States. It is a failed democracy. Cuba has a higher life expectancy, and a lower infant mortality rate, than the US. I could go on. Yes, the US is to blame for its cruel treatment of Cuba. The blockade has been condemned by the UN for each of the past 30 years. The Pope has condemned it as well, citing it as unChristian.

@@adamguerrero5293 The quality of life under American neocolonialism in the 1950s was abysmal: 56% of Cubans had no electricity; some 14% of Cubans had tuberculosis; 13% had typhoid fever; 91% of Cubans were malnourished; nearly 25% of Cubans were illiterate; the average life expectancy was just 59 years; infant mortality stood at 60 per 1000. I could go on.

Not everybody is fluent in Spanish. I speak French , English and some Spanish... I really loved your first 3 episodes until this one. The english and french subtitles were hidden by the Spanish ones. That's too bad.

I wonder how many of the day-to-day cubans looks like these lady. Of course this is rethorical question. I lived there for more than 30 years and that Cuba it's not the country I escaped from. Go there and see with your own eyes and wonder why so many cubans escape from there and cry for freedom in the streets. This November 15 lots of cubans will be repressed just for asking freedom and a change to dictatorial manners to the government. Keep a close eye to this if you really care about cuban people.

I just have a simple question, use your common sense to answer. If Cuba is such a paradise to live in all aspects of life, why so many Cubans risk their life in all shape and form to get out of that island? So many people can not be wrong, don't you think?

The USA is much richer, they are interested in wealth. Cuba is poor and does not offer the same economic opportunity. Its like asking why so many people move from North Dakota to California. Moreover most of the people that have left are conservatives. They do not share the same ideology.

So, are the sanctions responsible for the Cuban political prisoners too? Are sanctions responsible for the one party government that prohibits small businesses? are the sanctions responsible for Cuban political intelligence in Venezuela and Cubs? Have the sanctions stopped the Cuban regime from living comfortably, buying luxury cars? How about the Cuban people who fled Cuba escaping a 62 years old dictatorship? Blame it on the sanctions too?

I thought this was a good series at first but after knowing what is actually going on on the island now because of family that is there. I think Liz works for the Cuban government. People have to stand in line just to get basic stuff. Liz looks like she's gained weight since episode 1 and 2. She has makeup and interviews people with reources. That is not how a Cuban hospital looks like for the people. You have to be on the island and live there to know the truth. Look up the song and the misicians Patria y Vida. Go to their yourself and see. Not in the tourist area. Im sorry Liz but your program is not helping the people but rather the government who does not support its own people!

Honestly, I have started to wonder the same thing. There are literally 100s of people fleeing from Cuba trying to get into the US through Florida (just as always has been). A lot of people with family there are saying some of the horrible things that have occurred under the regime. I've always heard horror stories of the regime. People forget they control the internet and social media access there. Anyone who has anything negative to say about the govnt wouldn't even be able to while living there. This whole series appears to try and make outsiders think everything is "fine" except for "this" and "this".

@@DIEGOGONZALEZ-np9ed I do like them. They're well made, not by the government, and say a lot of good things, interview locals that aren't constantly blaming el bloqueo. The first season was quite good. The second season has been much more biased. Oliver Stone is a conspiracy nutjob and Danny Glover a left wing dictator panderer. What everyone here needs to know that to be critical of the many US government ills, you don't need to go suck up the other extreme. For local Cuban content I go for real Cubans, not those paid by the government
