Scandal, featuring Patty Smyth, released this tune in 1984. It was a song that made me want to turn up the volume and exceed the speed limit.
Written by Nick Gilder & Holly Knight the song went to #1 in Canada and #7 in the US. Scandal was formed in 1981 by guitarist Zach Smith.
I loved the vocal, the catchy chorus and the tasty guitar solo from first listen. This song makes the list of favorite LLB songs for me because it was so much fun to learn and then record.
I remember everyone who was a part of this LLB video was very excited to get to cover this one, it was hard to stop at just 3 passes! Thanks for sharing your time to watch our video.

This is my favorite of the LLB covers I've watched. I really wish there were more songs featuring this lead vocalist...she's fantastic!

Totally agree with you on this Bill re the singer's voice. She usually sings back up and always does a phenomenal job doing so. I often wondered why I wasn't seeing videos of her performing as lead singer. Doesn't surprise me one bit that she is as awesome as the other singers.

This song is one of my guilty pleasures, I wont really acknowledge it in company but when I’m alone in my work truck and it comes on the radio you’ll see a 6’4” 235lbs man singing and rocking out like a teenage girl.

Bout damn time Dale! AWESOME! Still a Skynyrd fan big time....but this is GREAT! Still jam with a bunch of your tunes. I'm now in the Beacon Hill Band in Cody, Wyoming. I think we're in the top 2 bands here. The first we'll never be able to touch...all pros and they play (rehearse) 6 nights a week....dinner club. But we're right there....rock on brother Dale!

I love music, especially the music of my youth. And on top of that I love live music. Covers are hard. Many times you hear covers on KZfaq and it varies from good to total cringe. I came across LLB doing those amazing Boston covers (almost better than the original, sacrilege I know, but damn they were good). What an amazing group of musicians.
