@@slumdogjay Because Whole of the Moon is a belter. This isnt.

@@degsdexter WOTM is a belter but this is pretty decent too. At least they don’t keep repeating the same formula. That would get really boring.

TWotM is a once in a lifetime tune like I Can't Get No Satisfaction. Are your ears only tuned for a single? If so, then seek out Justin Bieber. I get the criticism for the low production hip hop beats on the last few albums, but he's producing new music in the age of COVID and, as we demand of any great artists, he is pushing new boundaries musically and trying not to repeat himself. I don't love it all, but he still is one of the few artists I'll follow no matter what he does because his lyrics are top notch and soulful, and, when he hits it musically, he really hits it.

Your first though seeing the sheer size of this abomination of a comment "ARE YOU OK MAN?" By all means - I'm fine and yes I have a lot of spare time after work in the evening *during winter.* to be insane enough to think anyone will read this. The only constant in our reality is *constant change.* Lack of change means stagnation - the opposite of motion, for *anything* in this world what we are able to percieve physically or spiritually. If artists, content creators, movie makers or actors were making the same exact deadbeat horse style everything would sound or look like "Call on me" in arrange by Eric "Loop-on beetz" Prydz. Even if the clip is objectively more appealing than his slaugherfest of this song everyone would get bored by looking at the same ass(es?) forever, not like I mean our beautiful forever wifes or a-anything. Imagine that change has led Justin Bieber from singing a nu-age Smurffy Hit like "Baby" during which production he was led like a baby ironically, except maybe the lyrics to produce "Stay" (again depending on perspective). How did the song go again? Some people *..saw The Crescent* like they're just trying to fit among others and avoid alienation, and that is by all means if it makes them happy. Some "..saw the Whole of the Moon* trying to sound as someone who in current times is either "being childish" or "acting too serious for their age". Don't get me wrong, nobody is telling anyone to take life advice from people who haven't lived two or even 3 decades. But did you ever think why someone who could be your parent being over 50 or far more IS acting childish in a harmless way? Because in general childhood are the happiest and most innocent times of our lives, why not 'try' to re-live them? Overall they might not, or be the polar-opposite of carefree. Ask an average child who went trough war-torn trauma how is their life and what they can do, like in practical manner and to no one's surprise they'd be generally able to do / say or act more levelheaded than "adults" living in their own validation bubbles and tiktoks or shorts. I didn't want to get too cheesy'n or unnecessarily overdescriptive to prolong this comment and loose the point, however mr/(ms?) Alex there is one universal truth: "Best medicine if overused, turns into deadliest poison" Wouldn't you agree? *MY POINT* You saying "why destroy the name of a glorious band" and being entitled to whine how The Waterboys should "uphold their name" or how Mike should write lyrics *means as much as* random stranger (like me for example) telling you to cope and seethe but preferably non-verbally, sorry it was your *nearest thing to hip*, it's gone but you can always put older albums on replay. *English isn't my first language.* things nobody cares about: "I bet this guy is actually a TWN stalker what the fuck" Couldn't be more wrong, and I rarely get a monologue like this out of myself, but when I do for some reason my friends, gf or family fall asleep or go into standby mode. I won't pretend like I have many friends, as it's also a good reason to take time to do something as pointless as a idiotically long comment, but I'm grateful for them. I just love and *I'm grateful for The Waterboys music and lyrics with my heart and soul as they were keeping me company and took me out of darkest period in my life*. With no intentions to victimize myself, it was times that I wanted to take my life but for some reason I survived a freefall to the ground from 25m on bunch of sharp metal *I don't expect you to care* And/or read anything besides few lines or anything, to either consider me batshit insane or to reason with after. I'm not a long time fan of TWB (10 years) and being a 33 years old now I can say with certainty that songs like "The Return of Pan", "Trumpets", "Nearest thing to Hip" or "Destinies Entwined" have taught me more about life than pointless religion classes of Catholicism, because to no one's shock 99,999% of kids do not even have the brain capacity to understand the clusterfuck of Bible quotes, moreover take a lesson from them, AND my half-absent in upbringing parents..
