Mike Scott is one of my favourite composers of popular music. This song is good, I love it. He is always looking for new kind of songs. The production and mixing is just superb.

My favourite band of all time, been there from the start....I am so trying to like this but have to confess struggling to. Getting bored with the talky lyrics....been done to death now

@@leesummers2093 i have to agree with you in some respects Lee...been a fan since 1985...saw them tour this is the sea...saw room to roam in the tiny american bar on the aran islans...mikes solo tour in 96...glastonbury many times... on this album down in the broom kicks some ass...on the last one, my time on earth, and piper at the gates were excellent. The blue album was a bit too long imo...but it had its moments. Modern blues was was an amazingly creative tour de force for a man nearing 60. And their live shows are still very strong and magical...wickham just keeps improving.,,and bro paul is an inspiring addition. i think most of this current album...due to corona i think...is demo quality to be honest...but hey...he's married with a kid now...probably in relative lockdown in Japan...dunno...maybe dublin...but i am still very happy to hear new stuff from a genius master magician...even if the rabbit needs a new top hat to appear out of.

@@markmark8545 ....I've seen the Waterboys at least 30 times, bought every bit of music they've ever released including Mike's solo stuff....when I got married my wife walked down the aisle to 'She is so beautiful'......bored my friends to death advocating and trumpeting Mike's lyrical,musical and poetic genius. Made the finest music I'll ever have the privilege to listen to.....and I'll listen to the Big Music for the rest of my life. The Cure aren't far behind in my humble opinion...Robert Smith is another musical genius.Take care

@@leesummers2093 Likewise, I haven't really connected with anything since 'An appointment with Mr Yates'. It may be due to my limitations, but the latest three albums all sound demo quality to me. I find I'm not walking the same road anymore, as the rootsy, organic band format seems to have been replaced with slick, home-based, one-man production. (I'm not saying I won't be trying this frog dance a bit later though).
