Two skills you need as an attacker/midfielder to stay relevant... Great passing, and or lethal shooting. And for to survive with just one of these, it would have to be really exceptional. Dribblers come and go but if you don't have passing and or clinical shooting in your foot then you won't last long. Memphis, Douglas Costa, Robinho, Queresma(probably butchered that), Isco...the list is really long. World football is littered we with players who could/can dribble but get shadowed by players like Rooney, CR7, Messing, scholars, Gerrard, Zizu...(list is also long) who among other skillsets, could pass and or shooting really well. To prove my point, name me world class wingers or attacking players (past or present) who couldn't pass and shoot well...

@@davidking5344 de Maria is good at shooting and he is a team player, his stats at club and international level are decent. He is so underrated because he played with super great players but he is world class. This is only dribbling compilation

He is waaay waay much better than Miss Cristina Ronaldo(that sisy boy with lipstick and earrings)but he did not have he's luck!same as Nani, when they both came at Man U, i saw Nani's class ever since. Such a petty for both of them,both wonderful and veeerry underrated!

Di Maria was having 20+ assists and 10+ goals a season with Madrid and he continued to do that except UTD it wasn't even a bad season he still had 12 assists and 3 goals that's great for a first season in EPL

Depends. Post-2014 (since CR7's knee injury) I'd say Di Maria has been the better dribbler of the two. But pre-2014, it was CR7.

Di María couldn't agree on term with Real Madrid he was sold to United for around €80M, and replaced by James. In retrospective, while he flopped in the United, he has a very long and productive career at PSG and was good in Madrid too. I think Pérez made a mistake there.
