What happened to the old man?

Sometimes evil must be confronted. Jesus whipped the temple merchants for selling their goods in the temple. He was enraged and fulfilled prophecy. I’m not advocating violence however you can’t be a passive only believer. Exposing darkness and calling ppl to repent and believing the gospel. I believe we should be at peace as it says in Romans but not by being a doormat.
