This was directed by Russian Filmmaker Ilya Naishuller best known for Hardcore Henry and Kristen Froseth stars as the kidnapped girl. She is also a model who is a successful actress now

this is one of the things i like about the weeknd (or any artist in general) when u can tell they have an appreciation for other art forms like film and it reflects in their work, pretty much every video from the weeknd is beautiful even when he wasnt a super big artist

Most ppl are confused as to what audio played when he looked at the cross, lemme explain. The audio was a clip of a woman from ethiopia ( The weekend was born there ) just basically yodling in a way i guess, the woman was actully maybe singing a religious song. in ethiopia its pronounced " mez-more ".
