GB News host Patrick Christys says Ireland offered illegal immigrants a “better deal” than the UK and is now “finding out” the consequences.
Mr Christys told Sky News host Andrew Bolt that Ireland offered illegal immigrants “more money” than the UK.
“They also declared the United Kingdom an unsafe country so they couldn’t return people.
“There’s a huge welfare state.
“They’ve got 10 cities now of illegal migrants in Dublin and mass outrage.”

The bridge you need to cross next is to comprehend: this mass migration is organised, welcomed and funded by the government. What Irish citizens expect and need is polar-opposite to what the government-cartel has already agreed, signed and personally profiteered from. Britain 🇬🇧 was the country that stop the slave trade. Britain had to borrow the money to buy slaves to free them. The loan was finally fully paid around 20 years ago. It affected the British economy
@22grena

Wrong. Britain banned slavery because it was no longer cost effective (factory workers were cheaper) and Britain paid the slave masters £20 million in compensation. I am of Orange, Northern Irish stock and if there is anything positive that comes from the migrant invasion, it is the growing sense of solidarity with the people in the Irish Republic owing to the existential demographic threat that they are facing. Apart from Rugby Union, the two legacy factions in Ireland haven't been on the same side since the WW1. Heeding the rate of demographic alteration in Sweden and London, it is easy to conclude that multiculturalism, which is fuelled by replacement level migration supersedes the traditional loyalist v republican argument.

The seamless invisible border as part of the Good Friday Agreement was intended to render the border as a symbol of partition invisible and to facilitate ease of movement for Citizens of both jurisdictions not movement of individuals who entered either territory illegally. The Common Travel Area also was designed to facilitate ease of movement for Citizens.. There have always been returns both ways of people who have entered the country illegally. This issue re Rwanda has arisen because individuals who came to Ireland from UK took cases to Irish courts claiming they would it would be unsafe if returned to the UK as they were at risk of being sent to, Rwanda where they dont want to go. The Irish goverment and people did not claim UK is un unsafe.. The new legislation is designed to overrule that court decision.

It's important to take note that the 100 families who made money from slavery are still rich. That's one hell of a lot of money to keep a slaver and their descendants wealthy for a few hundred years. @@darrenporter1850 there were TWO news items in the video. One about immigration and one about reparations for slavery. The UK families that traded in slaves were compensated for the abolition of slavery with payments, up until 2015! It's a matter of public record and they aren't hard to find, if you're interested. Rich people don't pay the most taxes. They always pay proportionally less than they take out of the economy. That's how they stay rich. The loss of people had a knock on effect on growth of their economies. Let's say we accept that, for the sake of argument. The other end of the slave trade in UK were paid compensation for their loss of profit on the same slaves. I'm not saying anyone should pay, but there's nothing owed by ordinary tax payers. If the UK can send immigrants to Rwanda. We the Irish can send immigrants back to the UK. The Brits are trying to dictate to the Irish. No way Jose! The Brits need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Were you asked if you agreed to the EU Migration Pact or not? No. The Dail has opted IN. How many will the EU be sending. No-one knows. I don't wish this on Ireland, but it's coming, and there's nothing you can do about it. What were you saying about 'dictating'? The only coffee you will be smelling is your own.

Colonies made Britain rich. Once the colonies became independent, British economy started suffering when the colonies became independent.
@Joeblogs263

Err no when we had colonies, the vast majority of British people, lived in conditions. Worse than people in many 3rd world countries today. It may have made a few thousand families rich, but not regular people. Even Ghandi remarked, that he was shocked, to see Londoners, living in conditions as bad as Calcutta. There were even many recorded cases of British people, dying of malnutrition into the 1930's . Furthermore few British people, could afford healthcare, till we got the NHS after WW2. The British economy is several thousand percent larger than in 1950. Modern Britain is rich, because of jobs, provided by a range of successful industries. Not because we all get money handed to us from the sale of a warehouse somewhere. Full of tea or rubber or something, cheaply obtained from India in the 1930's

@Joeblogs263 When Britain had colonies, all the raw materials were imported from colonies at almost no cost. Finished products were exported to colonies, where they were sold without any tariffs, whereas local products were heavily taxed. British industries became profitable and provided jobs. British de-industrialization coincided with the loss of colonies because raw materials were no longer cheap. Poverty in Britain was due to income disparity and class divide, which has always existed.

@Joeblogs263 Earlier, colonization was justified as white man's burden. Then, the British politicians like Churchill justified it as a case of a superior race subjugating an inferior one. The British intellectuals of today have started denying it by claiming that it only benefitted a few. Britain started the slave trade, and it was financed by the British royalty. This is the start of racism.

Ireland’s designation of the UK as a “safe third country” to which asylum seekers can be returned for processing is unlawful as a matter of EU law, the High Court has ruled. In a significant decision, Ms Justice Siobhán Phelan held that Minister for Justice Helen McEntee exceeded her powers by designating the UK a safe third country in December 2020, in response to the UK’s exit from the EU. The designation mechanism is relatively similar to a scheme that exists between EU member states and enables a finding that an international protection application is inadmissible if the applicant has arrived from the UK. A person can then be returned to the UK, as a safe non-EU country, for their asylum application or situation to be determined there. Ms Justice Phelan said the breach arises from a gap between safeguard requirements prescribed in the International Protection Act of 2015 and those mandated by the Dublin III Regulations, to which Ireland has signed up.
