As far as I know, the Witcher is very much inspired by Slavic mythology, the author of the books is also from Poland, so that would make a lot of sense. But I also see some similarities between Welsh and Germanic mythology. The latter is often mentioned when it comes to Lord of the Rings & the Hobbit, which is why the Welsh mythology is probably rather lost there. So maybe there are also similarities between Slavic and Welsh mythology? I'm not familiar enough with either to judge, unfortunately, but since there was a lot of exchange over the turn of the century and millennia, I wouldn't be surprised.
