Great video. Loved the drone shots of the roof-mounted double discone! The Whistler TRX2 seems to be the cheapest home base scanner that offers Hytera XPT, MotoTRBO, DMR trunked. Decent wide range. I currently have a Uniden hand UBC125XLT, which is great for out and about, air shows, light home use. It's dead at present tbh. Both military and civil air traffic. I moved back to SW/MW Dxing at present! I thought I would stay with that Uniden due to the close call feature, but the Uniden SDS200E is close to £300 more! This is looking as if it will provide what I am looking for at home. Anyway, stay safe, 73's

Wish there was someone closer to show me how to use my TRX-2 because I live in the Bay Area and we have mostly non trunking frequencies but I cannot get my scanner to only scan the digital frequencies.

What’s the front end like on this? I have issues with my Uniden being overloaded due to a strong signal nearby, right in the middle of the air band that I listen to. I’m hoping this will be a better option without spending too much!

Does this need to be connected to an outdoor aerial to have good results, or will an indoor BNC be enough?

At 3:54 what is that noise the unit is making ? I am new to scanning and had that happen a couple times, I just locked those frequencies out.

Hi I need some help after setting the search limits and starting the search it will stop on a frequency with full bars but I get no audio, any idea what I’m doing wrong. If I use service search it has the audio, as does list scanning! Thank you!

Been using scanners for most of My life. Can anyone give me a reason to buy a whistler digital scanner and what other frequencies can you hear, other than a analog scanner??? anyone. Gov- frequencies have gone to TETRA so you cannot hear them .
