Preview chapter from George RR Martin's upcoming "The Winds of Winter."

I am in no sense a professional reader, voice actor, or what have you. I began this audiobook project some years ago when some friends of mine jokingly said they'd read A Song of Ice and Fire (my favorite fantasy series) if I personally recorded the whole series in audiobook form and sent it to them. Having now made my way almost through the first two books in the series, I decided to join the small community of people who post their own amateur audibook readings to youtube, and share my efforts.
I have no intention of profiting off of the work that is copyrighted to George RR Martin. This upload is a tribute to a series I deeply love, and I strongly encourage you to purchase these books. You won't regret it.
Also I should give full credit to my cat, Claudio, for the frequent background meows and purring sounds you hear throughout.

Now I associate these books with David’s voice and can’t listen to anyone else narrate these books. If we’re still alive when the rest of this book is released we gonna need you finish it. I know I have made some comments here and there but seriously, thank you for doing this. My eyes are terrible and even with glasses the print was always too small.

Westeros: Hey Daenerys, wanna be my rightfful Queen? Dany: Nah, not right now, I'm too young and need to find myself, I'ma try and be Queen of Meereen right now, maybe later, kay? Westeros: Hey fAegon, wanna be my rightful King? fAegon: Fu*k yeah I wanna Dany: Hey Westeros, this Meereen thing didn't work out the way I expected, I am ready now to be your Queen :) Westeros: *awkward silence*

I Wonder how the Westerosi would react if fAegon reveals he's a Blackfyre and confirms that Daeron II really was the bastard of Aemon the Dragonknight...

@@PedroLucas-mg5jeAegon truly thinks of himself as Aegon Targaryen the VI, there’s almost no one who could tell him he’s a Blackfyre who he’d believe They also definitely wouldn’t want to become public knowledge either if it was true as the Blackfyres have a complicated history with Westeros

Correct. The Onion Knight is sailing to Skagos though. Wyman Manderly has tasked him with rescuing Rickon Stark.

I love the Dorne chapters, especially the Arianne chapters. Looking forward to the books if they ever come out, though I fear Arianne's fate is not going to be a happy ending. Thanks again for your excellent narration.

She is going to fall for and marry fAegon(as he is a pretty Valyrian boy and marrying him will make her the queen) and then probably burn alongside him when Dany returns and starts spiraling down into madness. At least that's what I think is going to happen.

@@abrarbw Nah, I doubt she'll go mad, book Dany is a completely different character than show Daenerys, however, Dorne will be caught in between a dance of dragons which doesn't fare well for them as Quentyns death foreshadows.

@@carter9449 This, book Dany has always been kinda mad, since book one with all her inner dialogue about "the blood of the dragon". I can´t blame her tough, she was put in a BAD situation by all her ancestry and she had to choose between wither and die or embrace your family´s legacy. Her brother held the gown up for her inspection. “This is beauty. Touch it. Go on. Caress the fabric.” Dany touched it.

Once he introduced the Dornish and Ironborn plots, this series was destined to never be finished. It's just too much. I wish he would have stuck to the POVs in the first 3 novels.

It is a lot. But to be fair aegon was alwsys foreshadowed from the first book. Mereen plot too

@@lxfj2128 I disagree. I don't think Martin foreshadows, because he is a gardener. How can you foreshadow if you don't even know what you or your characters will do until you write it? Aegon is the most out of no where character in any book series ever. LOL. That's why they didn't use him in the show. You don't introduce a major character 5/7ths of the way through the story. That's just bad storytelling. LOL.

@@kennyhudson9201 it was 4/6 when you count dance and feast as one, which they are, then again George split game and clash into two books so they're one as well, and with storm… they make only a single act of his story

@@highgrounder2012 LOL. The story is 5/7ths through. He has said 7 books. And game and clash ARE NOT one book. I will accept the Feast Dance because they didn't share POVs. But the story overall is 5/7ths done. And you don't introduce a major character that late unless you are a bad storyteller. Aegon won't be a major player and will die before the end of Winds, because he is just a filler character to take up time and allow other characters to meander because he got rid of the 5 year time skip, and needs time to pass for his characters evolutions to make any temporal sense.

Arianne and Doran are cautios now. That WILL change when Quentyn's bones reach sunspear. This will not end well for Dorne.

@@fernandosimon5621 yeah 95% I think he’s dead. But his death and the description of his body after doesn’t 100% match those of other characters that are burned alive by dragons. Everyone else sort of immediately combusts.. while Quentyn somehow had enough time to notice his whip was burning and his hand etc were burning. Could just be for dramatic purposes sure. But if he’s dead then it’s a bit of a strange plot that has a sudden ending and a waste of his chapters, aside from giving an insight into the Windblown and the Yunkai’i etc. Open to your own thoughts! Edit: there are also a couple of other inconsistencies. One is that Gerris’ sword was dripping with blood when they were found after the burning, but we’re given no explanation in the Barristan chapter as to why.

She’ll probs marry fAegon to make Daenerys’ homecoming difficult without Dorne. Doran’s looking for a dragon after all, and he won’t choose the one that burnt his son

@@jayk8756 there is the Thing with the printing but i dont think itl end Up Like feast and dance because He learns from His mistakes (Tony Stark reference) But seriously If they release "the late autumn Siege" "the prow of conquest" "the cersei Show" and "the cold the dead and the Long forgotten" (made them up) All 1 year apart or something i will find them and tickle their feet until they snort Out a chunks of Greymatter Mr. Martin and His Publishers better be smart about this so that its printable and consumable without creating more complications in the writing process
