The murder of that turd just when things are going best for his evil régime, all the exquisite dishes, Tyrion's inner conversations, Sansa's behaviour, the mystery at how the poisoning took place, etcetera. Much appreciated, mr. David! PS: Spoilers for the ending of "A Storm of Swords"!! We need a proper, complete explanation at HOW and BY WHOM the Purple Wedding was carried out. Since the main instigator is clearly Littlefinger, someone needs to make him confess after overthrowing him!! I'm personally CONVINCED the poison was intended for Joffrey (hence why Dontos told Sansa it was "revenge for her father" when giving her the hairnet). But I can't decide about whether the Tyrells were indeed involved (I'd estimate there's a 65% chance of that)...

Stannis had more valid points than pointed out. Robb really was no less a traitor than Renly. Not even Ned would have wanted the North to declare Independency, as Westeros has shown to have much less war united compared to before. Robb should've given his crown up yielded to Stannis. If only Renly had the same, they together could've defeated the Lannisters and be focused on threats like Daenerys & the Others. Of course, Renly was practically a puppet for Tyrell & Redwyne, for Stannis would've punished both lords for the siege of Storms End.
