SO APPARENTLY the creators just confirmed that it is in fact Amelie. A bit weird that they had to confirm that via social media and not in the show itself, but whatever. At least it is thematically appropriate for it to be Amelie. I still stand by most of my criticisms tho XD

This arc could've been done in three seasons, easily. The wish didn't feel like a payoff, and Adrien was gaslit into believing his emotionally abusive dad was a good father. Terrible finale, imo.

The wish is just so weird. Did Emilie return to life? How is Natalie back then? Did Gabriel heal both Natalie and Emelie? Was he one of the sacrifices? Who was the other sacrifice? Just makes me really so confused.

It feels like the wish as a concept was never fleshed out from the start, which is why it's so confusing now. And also frustrating cause y'all had 5 seasons to figure out what to do with it plus pre production and still dropped the ball. I'm almost impressed. If the wish simply alters the current reality, Ladybug and Chat Noir literally could have given Gabe the wish early on and ended the arc in two seasons max. If the wish destroys the current reality and creates a new one that's an exact copy of the old one with just the changes of the wish, why would Thomas let the wish be made? Like, this is no longer our Adrien, our Nathalie, our Alix, our Sabrina, our Marinette, our Lila. These are entirely different people who just have the same look and memories (I presume) of the old versions but they're not the same ones. The wish needed to be much better explained and Thomas being vague on Twitter is not helpful, cute, smart, or appreciated. I blame zero fans for dropping the show at this point.

Not having the reveal, not having Adrien in the finale, leaving the wish ambiguous JUST BECAUSE WE HAVE MORE SEASONS, is so insane Like, as back from some years we knew that Miraculous would end in S5, but now that Miraculous will go to S8, so they DEFINITELY had a different ending before the confirmation of new seasons, which is the WORST possible decision someone can make Destroying the ending of a show, to have people watch the sequel, Astruc just wrecked the ending of the "Agreste Arc" (boy if THIS was the ending of Adrien's familly arc, then poor guy will have NOTHING to do in the next seasons) so people will still care for the "Lila Arc"

Something worth noting about the wish-Gabriel specifically said there was only *one* thing he wanted to change. Now I was never great at math, but I'm pretty sure reviving Emilie *and* Nathalie would be *two* ...

I would like if Gabriel was trapped with Lila by the butterfly miraculous because it would be the perfect punishment for him! Being stuck with someone who doesn't respect him and hurts him emotionally and psychologically is the same as Gabriel did with others so it would be a poetic justice. Lila could even do things to make Gabriel miserable, like calling him by his real name to keep reminding him of the past he wants to forget, or commenting on the things that are happening with Adrien to make him sad for being stuck with her and not being able to take advantage of the wish, specifically if Emilie is really alive, Lila would definitely talk about her too, and even if she isn't Gabriel himself said he can't live without her so he would rather be dead than stay without her

Oh but Aloe! Thomas couldn't possibly ever give us straight answers because then he'd actually have to think things out instead of coming up with it and changing things as he goes! Seriously, I hate how that seems to be the reason for so many things with this show. Is it Amelie or Emilie? Well we can't know because Thomas might need to change her to fit whatever he wants to do next. Why is the wish so confusing? Well if it's never had its rules set in stone, Thomas is able to make the wish serve whatever purpose he needs it to. Why does the show take 5 whole seasons to end a pretty simple arc in a super mid way? Well Thomas needed to go slow enough to change things on a whim and be vague enough to be able to add and take away concepts and explanations as needed. There is so little in this show that is thoroughly explained in a way that prevents retconning or backtracking or late additions/changes that this feels like it's the only explanation.

If they reveal that his wish was to erase the negative effects of the peacock miraculous, that would only mean that Felix's father is now alive and that would be absolutely horrendous and just terrible writing.

I still feel like they keeping it a mystery to see the reaction of the community to later say "yeah it is Adrian's mom or yeah its the sister"

I agree with your Dream Theory. This also explains how Lila was able to snatch the butterfly miraculous right under Gabriel and Bug Noir's noises. Perhaps they both were sharing the same dream which made both of them vulnurable to see Lila. Also, to make the wish Gabriel has to transform first. That has been proven by "Deflagration" where the kwamis got the chance to rebel against Monarch, where in the finale they hugged each other completely hopeless.

Probably the theory that made most sense to me since it was explicitly stated that you have to trade something equal for a wish was that instead of the peacock, it was the butterfly miraculous that would slowly kill its user

My theory is that he wished for Adrien to have a happy life. Which is why Nathalie and (uhhhhhh whichever one is his mother) are alive but Gabriel is not. This might also explain why Adrien was never told who Gabriel really was: Even if telling Adrien the truth is the right thing to do, the foundations of this reality are centered around keeping Adrien happy, and if learning the truth about his father would make him unhappy than this new world will do anything in its power to keep that from happening.

I've been saying this over and over again. Gabriel redemption versus Chloe's is plain hypocritical and contradicting. Thomas said it himself that She is just plain evil and doesn't deserve redemption, that people don't change and from what I can get from his statements is that if you were bad in the past you will never change you will be that horrible person forever and never change. But here we have a Man who put his child in an isolation room and then basically mentally abused his child, and then also terrorizing the city countless and COUNTLESS of times but that same man, Got a big statue in honor of his "Sacrifice" and got redeemed. I don't think they saw a flaw in this. I think they thought that people would like. They didn't build up the redemption at all, Gabriel just became worse over the seasons after seasons. Now I'll say this over and over again, Chloe didn't need to get any chance if they wanted to just leave her as some pathetic little brat. They could've left her like that and people would have no problem. I mean annoying bratty characters exist for a reason and nobody really hates or cares, they're just there for being antagonists, and yes ofc some people do actually like those characters but thats no surprise because its a very common thing in our media for people to kinda like the villains in some stories.

For the people saying that Gabe could’ve just wished for the Peacock miraculous to be fixed, equivalent exchange means they’d need to break a different miraculous. Everyone at the final scene has used the various miraculous, so if any other Miraculous had broken, at least *one* person at that party would be dead or dying.

The dream theory is interesting. I know there's a huge chance that isn't real, but it's still fun. Also, while thinking about "everyone got replaced with clones due to the wish", make me think of a possible fan story where somehow Adrien gets out of the universe while it's getting resetted/rebuilt by the wish and he can tell something is off once he's back. I immediately thought of the svtfoe finale. The fact that this finale managed to be worse is disappointing and the fact that everyone just died and got replaced by exact same copies makes me want to abandon the show after this episode and focus on all the episodes that came before that.

On one hand, there is this trope around making dangerous wishes with ancient artifacts, that you have to make a very specific "right" wish to not frick everything up. For example, the end of Inuyasha had something similar with the Shikon jewel. Alladin freeing the Genie, and I'm sure there are others, but can't think of any. But this, yeah, what a copout this one was. Not only did the villain who terrorized literal children and Paris itself get his way, but his wish was the "correct" wish? I'm calling BS on this one. PS another weird trope is the "Dying dream" bonus points when it's a collective dying dream.

I honestly think that the next villain should be an evil Kwami. Since Kwamis are created whenever humans create something new in the world, surely there has to be some made from purely evil actions. Like a Kwami born from genocide or something.

Gabriel also knew that most of marinettes friends had miraculouses, so it makes sense he would think the rest of them would ALSO have them.

I honestly hate the dream trope if it's for an extended period of time but yours would be so cool. Marinette being dead or in a coma-like state would be sort of grand? Having the beginning of season 6 focus on Cat/Adrien feels like it refreshes stuff. Although i think that'd mess things up a bit more. I do like the idea that the end was a dream, it makes me sick lol. The idea that it was Marinnettes dream would be sweet, she could be struggling to come to terms with the fact that her bf's dad was her enemy she's been fighting for months (in the shows timeline). Her dream removes the possibility of Gabe being Hawk-Moth or even if he was, he decided to sacrifice himself for Natalie or Emilie, hence the statue. Marinette has been shown to make up stories and fantasize about things so it'd sort of fit her I think. Also didnt LB send CN a message telling him who HM was and in the final scene with them he has his ring on so it's either the removal of the ring erased the message, a different person with the miraculous on or the wish got rid of it. I do hope it's some weird dream fantasy. Too many miraculous in circulation also i swear that the red laptop has the identities of the holders on it and if not, it's Lila she probably can figure it out very quick. I hope this next season is good but knowing miraculous, it might be a trainwreck lol

I have a theory, what if Gabriel sacrificed Emilie's life and his own to save them both (Emilie and Nathalie), let me explain: Gimmi the kwami of reality can grant you a wish but an equivalent exchange needs to be made, so Gabriel could not save Nathalie and Emilie only by giving his own life, we know that Emilie was not dead, she was in a dream from which she could not wake up (that camera where her body was kept her alive), taking into account this information, my theory is that Gabriel sacrificed Emilie's life (who was alive) to revive Nathalie and then sacrificed his life to revive Emilie, so that way both (Emilie and Nathalie) would come back to life. Maybe it’s because of the miraculous AU I created in my own head but I feel like before the wish is acually made the person that wishes sees the version of the world after the wish and then can finnish or cancel the wish but it’s not like a dream more like an interactive game and world created in that dream-wish? goes only as far as it’s needed for the person that makes the wish. (I know it sounds messy but I promise it would make sense) Also why didn’t Gabriel just said „Nah you can take Marinette” I mean who would stop him? Heck he could even bring both Emilie and Nathnalie back and just saying „switch it with Félix” I mean Gabriel hates Félix right? The wish is super weird. With what it did, it almost feels like two wishes since it brought nathalie back as well as emily, seemingly. So it seems like he chose to take on the illness that his family members had from using the miraculous the peacock miraculous. Going by the rules of Gimmi hed probably absorb all that damage to himself and end up dying, which he was doing anyway. Thats what makes the most sense to me. during the series it seemed like his wish would be to bring back his wife, which would not end up destroying the world and with the episode where luka has to go back in time after chat and ladybug reveal their identies it seems like its recreating all of reality, which is what it seemed to be implying throught the series. But based on Gimmi's explanation, most likely would require a sacrifice, probably either himself or some bystander or one of the heroes. It would have been neat if we learned that throughout the story he lost sight of the wish he was originally going to make, and have this fall to darkness aspect of him being more and more focused on selfish goals than just bringing his wife back, (like him being forcing Adrien and Kagami, working with Ms. Tsurugi, and his world domination thing it seemed like he was trending towards) but thats not how the story plays out so it feels like a switch up right at the end ... but does that mean felix's dad is alive now? weird.

I think the wish works like a second chance, except it's the biggest second chance ever. At least, that's what I understood from ephemeral. Sass said that everything would have to be "erased" and written in a "different color". So wouldn't these characters just be reborn the same way except the fact that Nathalie never died?

Another thing that bugged me about the wish not being explained was how after the wish was made the characters knew about the wish or even depending on what the wish was why they still had miraculouses because going by the show's rules the universe would've been re-written and if he exchanged his life for Natalie or Emilie then the in the new universe the timeline would've changed with no Hawkmoth to try to make the wish or stopped mid way due to death, we know Natalie and Emilie wouldn't even try to make a wish so there'd really be no reason to look into the wish or really any evidence that shows that the new universe is a wish because real life explanations would be given otherwise Tikki and Plagg would've had to tell them but that just brings up the question why tell? Why burden teenagers with the fact they failed at their jobs? If it was Emilie who was brought back then there never would've been a need for Ladybug and Chat Noir assuming that when Gabe replaced his life for Emilie's he died from the peacock death sickness they never would've been heroes so how and why are they here? If Natalie was saved how did they learn about the wish? Again assuming he died from the peacock death sickness instead so in this universe still no wish was made they might not even have learned why he wanted the miraculous so again how they'd know what he'd wish for? While some have argued that Gabe wished for everything to stay the same minus whoever dying that still needs an explenation because how everything happened and then him suddenly dead with whoever brought back to life if it doesn't change the past and then still the universe was re-written, them going through the same events still doesn't explain how they know about the wish being made and if he wished for Marinette to remember, why? He wanted to be remembered as a good man so why let the one person he couldn't trust to keep that secret remember? It's just so confusing because if this is a new universe and that was Emilie technically there should be no miraculous holders because no danger was brough to Paris along with because this is a new universe where Gabe died as far as they know the wish never happened so how and why do they know? I'm just very confused and can't find an explenation anywhere.

But that half included the 🐷Pig Miraculous.... And Marinette, as we saw previously when she took the 🐢Turtle Miraculous, she can't use the rings for.... "Reasons".... So there's no point in time where s/he could have used the power....

I think I might have an answer to your Emilie and Amalie query... so, first off I believe the one we see sitting next to Natalie is Emilie, how did Gabriel make this possible? The answer is simple, he wished Amalie out of existence. Think about it... unlike the rest of the cast she is not featured in the finale or the entire show in general, it was hinted in the episode Emotion that Gabriel does not like her very much and constantly rejects her and her family (thus, not wanting to get too close to her), he refused to attend her husband's funeral, and he never invited her to the Diamonds Dance nor helped her in her "search" for Felix in season 5. It seems to me that he hated Amalie not only for her appearance, but for her leading him down a path of villainy since her and Emilie wanted children and Gabriel decided to help them, but suffered a great loss in his return. Love this theory, Aloubell well done.

With the way the season's ended, and weird character development, I'm thinking about quitting the show. While it has a special place in my heart after watching it for 4 years, I've sorta lost hope of an ending I want it to have. (I was a teen when I started watching, I am now an adult, so that's part of it) If it ends up fulfilling those goals, (like the reveal, Lila being gone, wish being properly explained, etc) Maybe I'll return to it. I've been kind of burnt out on it for a while anyway, and turned to new interests. Its the end of a long era, and this show should've ended its course a loooong time ago. (IT HAS 3 MORE SEASONS CONFIRMED, WHAT THE HECK, AND MORE SPECIALS?? And a second movie was confirmed from the Netflix special!) I did love your theories, so I hope maybe one of them can happen lol. The dream theory though would make me kind of upset, as it feels like the show wouldn't have mattered anyway. As people have been watching it for 8 years now. Which is insane. But yeah, these are my thoughts, its kinda all over the place, so for that I apologize LOL

Okay I know it's not that fitting with the topic of the video but I don't know where else to write about it TvT. So remember the last episode that Félix was actually fun to watch "Emotion"? Yeah, so he said in that episode that he wants to make his own wish and he said that he'll create a free world but I believe that he was just lying to get Ladybug'd sympathy. Anyway I have two ideas of what Félix would wish for: Félix would wish for Adrien, Kagami and himself to become human and in exchange he would gave up the humanity of Gabriel, Tomoe, and Colt (I know Colt is dead but I'm sure Félix would brought him back just to make him suffer) Félix would wish to re-write history where the Peacock Miraculous was never broken that way everything would be happy as for the consequence he would make the other Miraculous to become broken, which one? I don't know Butterfly maybe. Can we also just talk about how evil Félix was wasted? Like imagine all the cool things the Cat Noir reveal, the drama, the inside conflict Félix would have, and also I'm sorry but Feligami is just not my thing like either give Félix no one (make him aro/ace maybe?) or someone who wasn't in love with Adrien cause that makes me think that Kagami just dates Félix because he has Adrien's face. What even are sentimonsters? Like do they have bl*od? Do they have all the 0rgans humans do? Can they age by themselves? Can they even ever trurly be who they want to be? Can they even have like dreams of freedom? Also about Feligami since they both sentimonster so they technically are both created by Duusu wouldn't it be like inbreathing if they got together? (Same for Adrien and Kagami). Can Dusuu control sentimonsters when they want? How the controling objects even work? Answers to some of these questions: Can sentimonsters age by themselves? I think not like the were created in one form. But then again show seems to think that they do. But if they actually don't then that would mean that Emilie, Colt and Tomoe would have to upgrade their children every few months. Can they trurly be who they want to be? I doubt. In episode "Ladybug" the real Ladybug let's Sentibug choose if she wants to help but she doesn't break the contact with Sentibug until she asks for help so I guess that even unintentionaly you give them the mindset you want them to have. So I guess Marinette at the finale just unintentionally gave Adrien a forced mindset even if it's technically the mindset of freedom. Can Dusuu control sentimonsters if they want? It was never shown but I'm sure they can (also I use they/them pronouses for Duusu as in french he's male but in english she's female but I guess in my language dubbing Duusu's also a female anyways) imagine how fun it would be if Duusu would just be board or annoyed at Félix and then make him do something random or something that would ruin Félix's mood (like making him spill his tea or something) and then Félix would be like "Duusu, you little sh*t..." How does the controlling objects even work? Okay so inside the rings there is an amok. For Kagami's and Félix's ring it makes sense since they are singular rings but then comes the twin rings. Is the amok in only one of them or both? If it's in only one why didn't Gabriel just swapped the ring with his wife's earlier to make sure Adrien does what he wants. If it's in both then that means that Félix could control Adrien for the entirety of season 4. Also in "Risk" Félix says no to Gabriel when he's disguased as Adrien but then Nathalie uses the ring and Félix is obediant. But that ring is supposed to hold Adrien's amok not Felix's so do you need just any amok to control a sentimoster and it doesn't matter?

I personally think that they were trying to leave so many clues to get fans excited for the next season, but I think they over did it

4:51 Yeah, no, shooting this possibility down for two reasons. 1. Gabriel is an idiot. 2. The writers are idiots. There's no way that Gabriel would have made such a thought out decision, especially since his goal before the last second was to bring Emilie back to HIM. He could've ended up in a world where only he and Emilie exist and he would be satisfied. Then again, the fact that said scenario didn't occur and that everything turned out okay just proves that the writers made him heel turn faster than a cheetah. These guys could give Terrible Writing Advice a run for his money.

So my theory is that Gabriel asked to be ill instead of Nathalie and to lose his body so Emilie could get up of her coma. (spoilers/leaks:) It's rumored that Gabriel became a spirit trapped in the butterfly Miraculous. And that's why Lila is so scared at the blue light (being Gabriel) at the end of the episode.

🍦🤨 I am calling this my melting face emoji. Honestly I gave up on this show when Arstuck ruined Chloe's redemption arc😭, it was shaping up to be such a good arc, one of the best I've see in kids media. But I have somewhat kept up with what has been happing in the show, seeing turn into a bigger and bigger train wreck has been kind of "fun". Love your videos they bring some joy for what was a series that started out with a lot of potential. P.S. Do you mind if I use some of your rewrite ideas in a fic I am writing?
