HI everyone, it's Bee! In today's video I will be discussing Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3 and her previous incarnations, Cheryl Mason from Silent Hill 1, and Alessa Gillespie from Silent Hill 1 and Silent Hill Origins! I will also be covering Claudia Wolf in this video as well! 2 birds with one stone! Thank you all for being so patient, I know this one took forever to finally come out so thanks for hanging in there! I appreciate you all!

I love this video so much! I feel so validated as a woman and made me adore heather more than i have. She's so fun and brave that it inspires me to be as strong as her.

I think she’s my joint favourite female protagonist our of horror games, with the other being Aya Brea(my pfp). I’m a man, but always liked strong female characters in fiction.

I like that heather is still very girly when you enter her room she mentions how she still liked her stuff animals and had a dorky movie quote on her wall. I don’t think she has a TV in her room which implies she spends time watching tv in the living room with her dad reading his detective novels she comes off as very relatable but surprisingly is extremely brave. For instance when you find the suppressor there’s obviously a body in there which would scare the daylights out of anyone and she’s like “yeah normally I would call the cops but I got bigger things to worry about.” It’s actually inspiring how composed she can be in a utter hellish landscape. Also I love her “looks like God didn’t make it” line the fact Vincent claim’s his God might be the Christian satan makes the entire strong more dreadful and makes her defeating “The God” a absolute triumph

About the sexualization one of the official images of heather use for the OST to the game features her with her iconic white vest but without anything on underneath it. I wouldn’t say it’s sexual and would even say it highlights her vulnerability in silent hill, but considering her age I think it still should’ve been mentioned.

Average male gamer here. I always like Cheryl as a female horror character. Shes not just "last girl" or "super powered magical girl" Shes just a woman trying to brave through this hell while keeping her own identity. And not just name, but WHO she is. Shes an actual character unlike most horror girls. But i do believe that a symptoms of having male gamers try to write horror girls. Somehow Team Silent did it right. We have amazing female characters today (finally) but the horror ones are pretty bland. Either just last girl in distress or have some secret power that "allows" a "woman" to survive. Like why does it have to be "super natural" for a woman to survive a horror situation?

I really appreciate that the writers made the game purely about her and she is always the one in charge of her story. Vincent and Claudia thought they could use heather for their plan but heather went on her own path.
