Every generation needs a fresh encounter with God. Just like the Israelites, a generation would see the hand of God move, then another generation would arise, not encounter God like the generation past and would end up in captivity. This cycle would happen over and over again and its not much different from Christians today. We have heard the stories of the Great Awakening in the 1700's, the Welsh revival & Azuza street revival. However, God is not a God of back then, He is a God of the now! God is not finished with our generation. Hebrews 13:8 states that Jesus Christ the same, yesterday, today and forevermore!

An ideology that is only about 200 years old. The passages you mentioned are talking about the second coming, not a pre tribulational rapture. Jesus did not teach this, his apostles did not teach this and the Early church did not teach this. And yes indeed it was put forth by Darby.

That is inaccurate. This is not a doctrine taught in the 1800’s by John Darby. This was the the viewpoint of the early church fathers, the viewpoint of the Apostles & the view point of Jesus. There are numerous writings which precedes Darby. One of the earliest writings is from the Shepard of Hermas in 150 AD. You will not find one instance throughout scripture where God judges the earth and the righteous and the wicked are dealt with together. God has always provided a way of escape for His people.
