This is wonderful! I love that you are starting this shop! As someone who is finally done growing our family I’m starting to curate my wardrobe with more dresses and feminine wear. But going out to stores nowadays it’s almost impossible to find ladylike clothing that is actually flattering to a real woman’s figure. This balance between the different responsibilities is still something I'm struggling with. But I'm very thankful for having this possibility und living this beautiful life, that has everything. I could ever wish. It's hard work sometimes, but it's fullfilling work and it's worth every single second. I love the dress you're wearing! I felt so much joy for you, when youtube showed me your message, that you started your own little dress-shop! That is such a nice idea! Thank you for your beautiful video, Nikki!

Dear Nikki, I really appreciated your discussion at the end of the video about the balancing act of life, and how during certain seasons of life, we can give more attention to some things, and other things have to go on the back burner. This has taken me a long time to learn. I used to be almost obsessed with the idea of creating the "perfect schedule". I kept thinking that if I could just plan things perfectly, I could get everything done and that I could be 100% consistent with all of my obligations. I have had this fantasy that if I could just figure out the most efficient order to do things in, I would be able to get everything done in a peaceful, even-feeling way, and that it was possible to not feel rushed or behind or like I am letting anyone down. This has not been a fruitless pursuit. I have made many changes and have seen vast improvements in my life, but there is no such thing as the "perfect schedule." It is not possible to try to do everything evenly all of the time. Some things take priority while other things necessarily must fall by the wayside. A vast array of outward circumstances which are outside of my control, have to be accepted and worked with. The feeling of peaceful balance and calm order is not something that can ever be a permanent state, but only something I experience for periods of time throughout the day. Just realizing that I am not failing or doing something wrong, but that realistically, this is about as good as it gets and to instead feel grateful for what God has allowed me to accomplish has taken a huge burden off my shoulders.

Nikki, Thank you for thoughts on using a phone in public. The lines are blurred on answering a vibrating call when coming from an elderly parent or child. Does anyone else feel compelled to answer in this situation?

Each person must determine what is urgent however, constantly being tied to your phone, especially in public or during a conversation makes that person less appealing to be around. If there is somebody in my life like this, I know I don't look forward to spending time with them because it doesn't feel as if they are 100% present. Many I know feel the same. It's not often addressed but widely known.

@@TheLadyoftheHouse Because of my health, the only people I go out with are my immediate family. I’ve had undiagnosed debilitating Lyme for 27 years; my life is very simple compared to most people but I’ve accepted this. I guess one bonus is not letting anyone down if I pause to see if my little children need me; my mother worked outside the home since I was 11 and I felt alone. I hope my children never feel this way. #perspctiveiseverything

Thank you uplifting inspiring videos. What an amazing idea to have your own feminine dresses store. I am an X shaped and find it very hard to find flatering clothing. Majority dresses in the shops are shapeless, with a minimum seamstress work and make me look like a square. I have no doubts your store will require a separate spacios building or addition to the house to accomodate your new and exciting venture. Best of luck. Thank you for everything you do ❤️

Your channel is always inspiring Nikki. You bring up such good subjects and I enjoy your thoughts about everything. The article was really interesting. Also the article on block time management. The dress you're wearing is so beautiful. I have a pair of dainty earrings that would match it perfectly. When you talked about the perfect dress I agree as far as sleeves would go. I do prefer 3/4 and need to have a lower neckline or I feel I'm choking, lol. The color is gorgeous on you. Congratulations on your Postmark shop. I did take a look. XO

Thank you, it's not my favorite paint set only because the colors are a bit more neon looking. I'll keep using them until they are gone though. I found it at Michael's and it's by Artist's Loft I believe.

Maybe at the time of this video I didn't have one in there ( I didn't replay to see) but I usually always have a trash can in my office space. Also, certain things I prefer to do standing and the height of the trash can in the kitchen is a better fit than the shorter ones.
