what shaft dimensions can it accommodate? will various youth sticks and or too much of a butt on the adult stick make it harder to fit and use? or is this meant to be used with sticks that the hockey tape and butt is removed?

You can use any hockey stick- from youth, intermediate, to adult sticks. Hockey tape can be left on, but the knob must be removed.
