In a recent video MOOG constructed a quick, simple, do-it-yourself garage creeper project. The internet had a lot to say about 'features' that they would put on a creeper if it was to make one, only it didn't make one. So in this episode we attempt to right all the wrong as we piece together (over engineer) an all new garage creeper, affectionately known as 'The Marty'.

Excellent idea for a project. Here's a few recommendations: three tiny fans installed under the creeper, no plumbing, no flashing lights, thinner foam in shoulder area. The magnet bar is cool, but a tray on the other side would be great. The speakers and battery adapter should be flush mounted. Excellent concept, just needs to be more user friendly.

Richter12x2 mine is also worse at the moment, welding up a rack for my sandblaster...steel and cutoff wheel dust everywhere :D. I guess what I mean’t was it’s not setup like a clinical clean looking filming set like many higher profile channels...I appreciate the realism and how they go about just getting things done like most of us do...makes me feel at times “shit I never thought I could do that but yeah now I reckon I could give it a go”

ishootstuff depending on what your doing it's already metric. Our cars are metric now allot of products you buy are metric. The only things I can think of that arnt metric is shit like Harley's and household stuff like washer and dryer refrigerator sink hardware. The only times I've used standard is fixing a dryer doing timing chain and gears on a 73 Cady 472 my 99 Chevy cavalier uses standard (Chevy slacked on switching unlike Dodge and ford) and a hack of a 82 vovlo that used bolth standard and metric

@diygarage Sure, most manufacturers switched to metric, but the highways are still in miles and when we get gas it's its in gallons. Horsepower, torque and weight figures are generally expressed in SAE, etc. Even our currency. We say Quarter, but it's a 1/4 of a Dollar. I had an '86 Cherokee with the horrible 2.8 Chevy V6 and it was metric/SAE mix. Icky.

Hey there, USA is always been metric, and then converted to US imperial (customary metrics). You were one of the first 17 signatory nations to adopt the metric system, and have the one Kilogram sphere copy from the original 1kg defining the metric system. I believe that this is one of the most guarded singular objects in the planet. Then the USA converts to pound and foot (customary metrics), and then reconvert to metrics . Although you study this in schools it was not widely spread in real life. That is it. But please pay more attention in schools you should know this. Also I'm not keen in making you reconvert to metrics, that is your choice to make. I'm just stating the facts.

My 83 town car, my 97 Taurus and my toaster are all metric, hell even the Mack’s I work on are metric (mostly). Dodge Ram lug nuts and trailers are probably the few things that are standard now.

I mounted two of those magnetic strips on the bottom of my creeper, low to the ground, to pick up dropped bolts, washers and wrenches as you roll out from under the car. I also have a roll of paper towels mounted to double as a headrest; comfortable, and very handy when gas or oil etc. runs down your arm to your armpit.

This is awesome. There are a lot of features on this that make a fair amount of sense. Using the batteries for powering lights and such is a great idea and the locking castors. I really hope that Supercheap takes you up on it and gets some of the money into the hands of the charity.
